As far as i understand a percentage from POW and POS goes to masternodes.
Like Pivx does.

So its still POW/POS  and (lets say 20%) some of the Rewards go to masternodes.

Thats the Point of having Masternodes.
It builds a stronger Network and takes Coins out of Circulation.

I would say that 5-10k to run a mn seems reasonable to me.

How many coins need to create a masternode and how many coins need for MN/POS?

coins can be active in a MN that mean they dont participate in POS
the collateral to run 1 MN will be 10000 DMD and it require a static IP

VPS able run a masternode or even multiple are very affordable in case u have no staic IP on ur private internet

POS will work on dynamic IP too and even lower amount of coins will successfully find POS blocks from time to time

the reward balance will be in a way that if u compare 10000 DMD run in a MN and 10000 DMD running in POS mode
the MN will only have a slight higher reward if enough masternodes are active
if the amounts of MN is to low they get more rewards as incentive
if to much MN active its better run coins in POS mode
and this balance will be manage dynamic each block based on amount of coins in all MN together compared to total coins

the exact numbers will undergo heavy testing in the testnet phase to be able launch with a fair system that rewards any contributor

no matter if he run POW POS or Masternodes

If set up and used right, you will def get more rewards for MN over POS.
And you can do amazing stuff with Masternodes.
Like Voting on Team Decisions and such.

as explained there will be a defined goal in masternodes (percent of total coin inside masternodes)
if less MN exist they get a income boost if more MN exist they get they income decresed

so at a some point if to many MN are active it will earn ya more to have the same coins in POS mode then in MN mode

the balance of this values will be done and designed very carefully in the coming weeks to create a fair environment for POW POS and MN

the MN rewards will per design have a little edge over POS income because its harder to run static IP 24/7 node in MN mode that allow incoming connections
then for example a POS wallet which can run with dynamic IP without allow incoming connections and even generate u some income if u run ist just 8 or 16 hours a day (example turn off at night the PC in ur sleeping room... when u not already have a silent low power useage mini computer who could handle a DMD node too easy)

That is going to be very hard for any new person coming into DMD to get that amount.  There are only 46 addresses with 10k or more DMD and a total of about 2 million coins.

10k DMD is a lot unless your plan is to have about 40~60 total master nodes on the DMD network. (10 mostly likely getting setup by to those with the special staking wallets)

Edit:
So the average person keeps getting a smaller slice of the DMD pie. First the average person looses out since some people paid extra to get special staking wallets and now the part of the POS reward for average person is going down so the Master Node can take part.
