And moneropool.org is down again... They need to change their settings to the botnet ddos has to find them again. They also need cloudflare or do it themselves.

I would strongly suggest fixing the blockchain bloat (if it's even possible) before even thinking about releasing a gui wallet. Release a GUI wallet and you'll be adding 1GB a month to the blockchain.

I'd consider a few BTC worth at .001. It'll be there soon with this inflation.

Likely being done by someone who has a botnet mining somewhere else. Total hash goes down, botnet profits go up. Just shows one of the weaknesses of cpu only coins.

Seriously... look at this loser  Roll Eyes

I can only think of one reason why a DRK holder would keep trying to cause FUD in this topic.

Everybody,

Want to join the fastest/most efficient pool? http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#

This Monero mining pool has 3x faster share validation and lowest orphan rate on the market, thanks to Wolf's private code.

If you are mining using Wolf's miner, the fastest miner ever for CPU, you may find that Wolf's pool the best option because of his superior code optimization skill. He optimizes the CPU miner. Now he optimizes the pool software.

last block found 5 hours ago? what is wrong with this pool? even smaller pools are finding more often blocks hmmm
 Hash Rate: 254.86 KH/sec

Now its nearing 400KH/sec and still no blocks but it is supported by wolf so I'll stay on it a little longer as I expect it will start getting them soon.

that is the question, if it is really that bad luck, or if wolfs private code is working properly.
maybe dev should explain to us
or maybe the dev is lucky enough to get all the blocks for him self Smiley hmm some explanation would be great
somethings fidhy about that pool so much hach and 6hours no block  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Guess beacouse of downtime on moneropool .com/.org cryptoescrow.eu got lots of users last hour or two.

edit: moneropool.com/.org are still down :/

I have been mining over 5 hours at http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/# and I have earned 0.107 monero!?!?! I have 3KH/s

Anyone else having transaction size too big when trying transfer xmr out to an exchange?

For some reason if I have 50xmr I have to send them in 10xmr chunks to get anything to transfer out.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Yep having same, seems it's due to lot of very small incoming transactions, and thus.. it's not possible to do big outgoing trasactions..
Devs said it should gets better on next version on sources Cheesy

You had received too many dust transactions from pool and this is the reason. We're waiting for more improvement for pool software. At the moment you can try to send your coins by small chunks to new wallet of yours and that new wallet will be fine.

MoneroPool.org and MoneroPool.com are under DDoS attack
dam...stupid fxs...because of them im loosing money Huh Huh Huh
they got nothing better to do  Huh Huh Huh

DDos is making people divert their hashrate somewhere else and  helping more or less some  newly launched pools get more hr/s which is not so bad afterall, except the fact that the ethics behind this sucks.

question: where else 4 Mx power network? I do not see many big pools.

Solo mining - never have to worry about a DDoS or a pool going down. Update your code once a week (at this early stage) to make sure you're on the latest build, and you're golden.

./bitmonerod --start-mining 49VNLa9K5ecJo13bwKYt5HCmA8GkgLwpyFjgGKG6qmp8dqoXww8TKPU2PJaLfAAtoZGgtHfJ1nYY8G2 YaewycB4f72yFT6u --mining-threads 6

Easy as that!

yeah,

looks like http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/ is pool to mine with

don't know what's with http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/, they should find some block, since pool HR went up.

crypto-pool.fr finds at least 1 block/hour with smaller HR then cryptoescrow.eu

weird, at least or really really really bad luck

is the GUI released yet?

The GUI is not important enough for us to be worried about yet.

I'd say we want to get the software as bulletproof as possible now, first.

Worry about a gui later.  If not having a gui means less attention it is better for now.  We want to make sure when the attention comes we are ready.

Everyone only cares about getting on mintpal.

^The bug is well known to developers and they'll fix it, but it's not a high priority now. Basically your daemon is flooding other pears (and your) connection and those pears are disconnecting you. When you see a few of those in a line and then they stop for a while it's fine, but when you see huge amount (obviously you are monitoring your daemon) your best option is to exit the daemon (use "exit" or "q" in order to save the blockchain first) and start it again. This way you'll stop flooding the other pears connection (and yours too).

Not a high priority now? So it's ok for pools to restart daemons several times a day initiating disconnects? I am silent about bandwidth usage.

If you're restarting your pool daemon several times a day please log it when it fails so we can isolate the issue.

Good one Cheesy

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".
