Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Jackpotcoin Mining Pool Hub
http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com

Jackpotcoin is PoS/PoW hybrid coin that generates PoS block at every 20 seconds, PoW block at every 2 minutes.

PoS block comes out 180 blocks in one hour,
PoW block comes out 30 blocks in one hour.

So, why do we have to worry about 51% attack?

Jackpotcoin is not same as other PoW only coins, it is actually impossible to make 51% attack.
Isn't it?

anyone elses wallet acting funny?

In what way? Sending, receiving, staking?

I'm also having troubles with the wallet:
Yesterday 7 transactions never reached my wallet. There's a gap between 2014-06-01 22:46:18 and 2014-06-02 02:33:30 ?!
I will not write my addres due to BTCtalk rules, but it can be easy found on explorer (starting with Jdmq...........bwV).
This was my last received transacion ID: http://explorer.jackpotcoin.info/tx/9840adb1274b337a7ee5ca0dd0c89bb5b7fb8dd1a3ff4936bccda720cffc1f87#o18   (2547JPC)
Next 7 transactions have never reached in my wallet:

Forgot to say: I deleted everything in JPCdata folder except wallet.dat and redownloaded chain. Done that twice, but no coins from that period of time.

Did you try using the command repairwallet from the "debug console" within JPC client?

Yes, tried repairwallet in debug window several times.
Also tried to open wallet with -rescan attribute.
No luck!

I have watched jpcdice for a while and was curious about investing and my idea was that over a period of time the house always wins right? Smiley so I invested big yesterday and now less than 24h later I have lost 2.5million JPC's is that just bad luck or am I supposed to do anything else except clicking the "invest" button? The reason I wanted to invest to jpcdice was to gain more "interest" than the regular 0.1%/daily interest from the JPC wallet.

Looks like it's related to your earlier post when you spotted HashHarder on a lower difficulty than other JPC pools. It appears they are on their own fork and you should change your miners to somewhere else for now.

If you take a look on: http://explorer.jackpotcoin.info/chain/JackpotCoin?count=500&hi=176560
there's the same difficulty showing for the last 10 hours.
Something is messed up.

The other explorer...

http://jackpotcoin.info/blockexplorer/

...and also these two pools...

http://jpc.hashatme.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

...and the offline wallet show the current correct difficulty of approx 180 to 220

You should switch your miners now because you are on a wrong fork Sad

Why does the wallet say the difficulty is 14? It shows the correct amount of downloaded blocks.

Ah, I just did that and got similar. However, if you hover your mouse over the green arrow for network connectivity, it says something totally different.

Interesting, that's the first time I've tried that and I get numbers in the 16s as well.
