While we're on the topic of the risks of centralized exchanges: what are the possibilities for trading altcoins on the NXT asset exchange?

jl777 is working on getting trustless p2p exchange (atomic crosschain transactions) and a multisignature gateway.
https://nxtforum.org/multigateway-jl777/nxtsubatomic-atomic-crosschain-exchange/
https://nxtforum.org/multigateway-jl777/multigateway-status-reports/120/

I believe CIYAM's automated transactions (AT) will allow trustless exchange also.
https://nxtforum.org/automated-transactions/information-of-the-at-project/

So the possibility of trustless decentralised trading of altcoins is high  Grin But probably not immediately on launch of the AE. But who knows, they might plan a surprise announcement and send everyone crazy  Cheesy

For those who plan to trade, be aware you pay a fee for each buy and sell order you put in (and I think to cancel them). jl777 has developed InstantDEX (Instant Decentralised Exchange) to please the traders with transaction times of 3-5 seconds with fees only needed for successful transactions.

This is in testing at the moment and is built on multisig gateways and AE so they will have to be up and running before this goes live. You will be able to buy shares in InstantDEX on the AE soon after launch.
https://nxtforum.org/instant-transactions/secret-project/

It is getting harder to keep up with everything going on in Nxt as it is starting to move very fast! Please correct me if you see an error  Grin Grin

I am trying to maintain a thread of all planned asset launches on AE, but I have recived more info so the OP needs updating. I will do this later but you can check current AE launch stats here:

It's cool to watch this community grow from the ground up. I feel like a proud uncle or friend of the family watching a kid grow up into a fine young person.

Graviton (the owner of the dgex exchange), after trailling that he is involved in setting up a fiat gateway on DGEX, has confirmed that he isn't involved in the Bithaus gateway and "DGEX is partnering with (an)other provider(s)."

So we have a second fiat gateway in the pipeline   Grin No ETA announced so far (that I have seen  Cheesy) but it is exciting none the less!  Cheesy

Hahaha, good one  Grin

Okay, so I read the thread. Seems interesting, although I miss some form of security. However small, 4 digits for instance and after 3 failed attempts the device locks and needs a master unlock of some sort.

I understand it's for day-to-day usage, but even my bank cards have a pin.

Good point. But it's version 1. Let the project grow.
