Reports says scammers are already targeting dotsforbits and vircurex, AE is under siege  It is only natural and was expected.

Education is the only defense, spread the word to keep people safe:

Rule 1) Don't buy anything on AE without checking with the source of the Asset issuer.
Rule 2) DON'T buy anything on AE without checking with the source of the Asset issuer.
Rule 3) Get the asset ticker and Nxt Account number of the asset issue from the source and use these to find legitimate Assets.
Rule 4) If it is too good to be true, it probably is 
Rule 5) If in doubt, post on nxtforum.org for more information.

Chances are people are going to get caught out. It can't be prevented, only minimised

Both Wallets seem to hang on 135044. This is on my mac and windows.

Both are running 1.1.0... Seems that I mistakenly bought 29k worth of assets, because I thought they were already sold to other people...

Ive been playing with the 1.1 windows client for the last few hours. Managed to successfully resurrect and update my old Nxt account, send Nxt, buy some asset shares, and put those shares back on the order book. I like it lots.  
Its the little things sometimes, so I particularly like the reference 'YOU' when an order is placed on the order book!

What i dont like is the non cut n paste pass-phrase entry. Is there a work-around to not have to type in ones pass-phrase, for every transaction?

REMEMBER when purchasing asset on NXT please take few minutes to confirm that you are buying from a legit issuer!

You can do a quick search of the account number of the issuer in their respective websites/forum.

eg Bithaus with issuing account id  18146608053740744717 is legit.

example of fake asset: xdfb, acc 7348746100980203353 after searching for this account number in this forum, there are people telling you that its a fake.
And if you can't find the account id of the issuing asset anywhere, then please don't buy it until you can confirm its real.
