think of the feeshares as backing for sharecoin.  do you think that when dollar was based off of gold that the total value of all the dollars didn't far surpass the quantity of gold in reserve?

sharecoins are awesome because they will always have a tangible asset that they can be traded in for.
a perfect symbiosis between exchange and coin.

the thought here is that with sharecoins there is less chance of failure, because in order for it to become worthless both the coins and the business have to lose all their value.

Works to me:

1- Delete all files except the file wallet.dat;
2- Open the wallet other time;
3- Wait for SYNC;
4- When your wallet sync make an dumpprivkey #YOURADDRESS# (change #YOURADDRESS# for your wallet address);
5- Copy the Private key, seem like this: VNPZVSCP7JcgPgK3Eb7RQPjuU7ebxVzXNsAjuhncC4G5324235325
6- Make an New address and put this on console:
importprivkey "VNPZVSCP7JcgPgK3Eb7RQPjuU7ebxVzXNsAjuhncC4G5324235325"
7- Now you have your coins on wallet!

I have tried following this advice. It goes well until step 6. Whenever I enter "importprivkey [PRIVKEYNUM123]" I get the message "Error adding key to wallet (code -4). Am I doing something wrong?

No idea. What problem are you having? Just with syncing, or with it not showing your correct balance when it is in sync?

Fairly certain that I'm on the wrong fork. Wallet shows no balance, stake or uncofirmed SHARE, yet it acknowledges that I had an incoming share transaction of 65k for the distribution. There's also one staking transaction that was never confirmed. The wallet is up to date on the network though.

Just delete everything in your app folder except wallet.dat Update to the newest version. You won't lose any of your coin

It's because of dust orders with total amount < 1 satoshi which result in an invalid trade operation. I fixed it now, dust orders should be closed automatically on match. You can try placing your order again.

if the miner finds the coin at low value they somehow avoid it.. and it is expected for the value of sharecoin keeps going down but to those who see this as an opportunity to buy sharecoin at low price and dont have BTC but own a mining rig... they should see this  as an opportunity to mine more sharecoin than when the sharecoin hits a higher price

there are several reasons that lead to its low price but the most important is..ppl getting no confidence anymore with its exchange side..no one like to risk their money to go support a shit/scam coins sanctuary.

As the dev want all Shares trade made on Sharex. 
The dev never encourage you guys voting on Mintpal.
