The tweet is by account ExistCreative , not official tweet from MintPal.   Why wouldn't MP tweet they are having maintenance instead of the vague message they display on their site?    It has me worried about all this supposed work claimed in the past days since I am potential investor.

It has been confirmed by the devs that a 51% attack on white coin has occurred, resulting in double spending. 

It was more like, someone probably DOS'd Chunkypool offline before the new wallet was released in order to try and double spend.  Once the new wallet is out, all these issues will be over with.
