QUARKBAR PULSE IS COMING!

We created a simple animated GIF to explain the concept of Pulse block creation:

Any questions?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

everything is clear,
i'll say goodbye to QB mining very soon

This is a way to lower the inflation by constantly creating new coins and link the mining to a busier network.

Halp!

you are using the quark algo ?

you might need to use "--difficulty-multiplier 256" with sgminer

Thanks mate, that fixed it Smiley everything's fine now. Also tried sgminer 4.2.2, no issues on that one using the same config.

EDIT:
- also managed to fix the sync issue. removed all nodes and added only these two:

Quick info for Miners
... regarding Pulse

Pulse will drastically change mining behaviour.

- Block-creation will be slow and share-counts will likely be extraordinary high. Don't worry, this is good!

- Reported Network-Hashrate will be wrong because Pulse makes it impossible to linearly derive hash-power from block-creation-times.

- Pooled mining is still possible and still grants you advantage over solo-miners. However, it will be more difficult (in terms of chance) to get the block because conditions are tighter when running on high hash-power networks. To keep the arms-race up Wink

- Reported difficulty is low. Yes. Difficulty is calculated upon time past between the last N blocks. Pulse alters this so the difficulty will remain low. This will be changed in future and relies on how busy the network is or will be. Enjoy it while it's low =D

To be exact, the first real PULSE block is block 625,006, where 5 minutes of no transactions slowed the chain down! Smiley
