If Ebay faces more competition from bitcoin-accepting competitors, maybe it will consider accepting bitcoin.

eBay has filed a patent that is to allow them to start accepting various digital currencies for items sold on their site. One of the coins they have listed is Bitcoin, and according to the patent it would allow them to price items in cash and have the value in Bitcoin converted automatically for each listing.

Paypal is not considered a bank but in many ways it operates like one. You can keep money in your account, spend it and accept money into the account like a bank . Also they offer debit card services, just like a bank would.

Since ebay owns PayPal, this is unlikely to happen.
Sooner or later they will consider adopt bitcoin!Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are the future,Paypal has already a lot of haters because of the way they froze the money and close accounts most of the times on no reason. So  if they don't consider accepting bitcoin, slowly they will lose clients .

Since BitcoinShop.US is a one-stop shop maybe they'll go ahead and beat eBay to the punch! They're still working on overseas shipping though!

eBay CEO Asked About Amazon, Bitcoin and Unpopular Seller Policy

http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y14/m05/i14/s01

Carl Davis, Jr of the Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce asked Donahoe what he thought of Bitcoin in regards to global trade. The CEO called it a new, exciting and emerging technology. "We think Bitcoin will play a very important role in the future. Exactly how that plays out, and how we can best take advantage of it and enable it with PayPal, that's something we're actively considering. It's on our radar screen."

This. Businesses like Apple and Amazon are also unlikely to accept Bitcoin because they will prefer to use their own currency (like store credit).
