This is the one bug that I mentioned earlier with error generation block in the POA . in the test version we've already fixed, will release the real version of the client

Thanks, do you have an ETA on the release?

Also if the node is restarted - does it reset the bonus timer? For some reason my node restarted twice today error code 244.

This week for sure.
In case of error generation block Node can be restarted automatically (only Linux clients). Time is not reset.

yesterday, Bitcointalk was down again- for a short time only, but it seems as a reminder to maybe be prepared to move to another forum when it goes down for longer!

the community at nxtforum is very tolerant, so having a child board there would certainly be possible if that happens.

but having a dedicated node forum will be better in the long run...

NODE Rewards Update:

There has been an addition to the node reward system.

If you are running a node on a Windows PC, you will now be rewarded as well.

Since people are running it from their personal PC, Windows nodes will have a requirement of being up at least 12 hours a day and the reward will be 75 NODE per day or however many NODE you accumulate after 12 hours (you can do the math, I'm lazy  Cool ).

Special thanks to sava0123 for writing and running the scripts for the NODE Rewards.

Wait, wait, wait, what?!

What does this entail?
Is it the same as a node controller that we setup in a VPS?
With the same rewards?

So setup a Windows PC, with a node add in 500k?

How come my Node Controller is saying 0 Transactions per hour?
and 0 Block Generation Time?

Do I need to update anything?

is it a PC that you shut down periodically?  That might be the issue.

Yes I only run it when i'm home so i seldom get 3 straight days. But afa as I'm concerned I'm not owed anything. Just letting you know I was on the list but didn't receive t so there is something amiss.

388507031247855324 | uptime - 2346mins

Here is your uptime for the last week. It's not even 2 days. And you need to have at least 3 to get reward.

I don't remember saying anything about last week,

I kind of would like to do something for people doing it on their personal PC since it is different than a VPS and more consuming.

If you're doing it for at least 12 hours a day on a personal PC as a Win32 node (not VPS), than I think you should get something.

Opinions?

I would support this only because it would/should add more nodes.
how can i remote check if my node is online?

http://nodemoney.com:19775/#/login

Just login there. I dont reccomend U use it for ur personal account as it not https yet. But just put a random password and go to peers and there u'll see the active peers. u can't see all the active peers in node client.. u have to check it at online wallet.

thank you

Maybe it's because of client update they are doing. Main peer was offline for 3-4 hours or even more.

1 more idea. What does it say to you? "Downloading blocks" or "Checking"?

It happened to me 2 days ago when I was trying to set up client on new machine. Because of 0.12.0 version of node.js my client first uploaded all blocks and then stuck in cycle to check them going to the last one and then starting check all over again from the first block.

So I setup a VPS Node server.

If I want to rebuild it, do I need to transfer my NODE out first and then rebuild?

And with the announcement about windows wallets getting rewards, do I even need the VPS anymore, or can I run it from a windows wallet?

It's up to you. With VPS you will get more money, because it will be online 24/7.

Nobody need to run a vps to be able to forge. If u have a computer running 24 hours a day and your connection is always up and you don't get disconnections u dont need a VPS. As u need to be online 24 hours everyday sometimes u need a vps. For example I need a vps as i dont have my pc running all day and if it was my connection is not reliable.
