I withdraw BTC a few days ago and it took 5 hours to withdraw them.. it was saying "checking balance".. Checking what? Bter was acting weird..So i sold my node's at about 200 satoshis and i withdraw everything. I've been lucky i guess.. I was alert after all what happened between bitpay and bter.. Hope they recover everything back.. but i doubt it..

Does this make node even more valuable now because they are going to be harder to get their hands on for a while?

It could be more valuable in where? There is no exchange atm. And also the buy support being built there has been stolen. If the things keep working fine it will eventually go back up.. but it will take some time.

matters?i had invested heavy on node,108mil coins that means 10.8% of total marketcap of node,i trusted in this project and made my moves, but i was an idiot blind one in fact to put so much money into a coin with just 1 exchanger..and now all of us we will support this

the only problem is to leave 108mil coins at an exchange. We do have wallets for a reason. But at least node should be unaffected. And if we are lucky the bounty is high enough for someone to get the stolen BTC back.

I am sorry to hear about this, for all of us.  But in my experience, the number one rule of crypto is to NEVER keep money in an exchange, other than what you plan to trade.  BTC (and all other cryptos) are an all-or-nothing commodity.  If someone has a big enough stash, it's just a matter of time before some hacker gets lucky.

I've not looked at every exchange but most of them have some nightmare hack story to tell.

Unfortunately, I had 121,000 Nxt on there which I was arbing with.  This sucks but I've had to factor this into my risk.  Oh, well.  I hope I get it back sincr they are claiming that BTC wad the only hacked wallet.  However, I'm fully expecting thos to be another LTCGear and we will never see any of these coins again.

As far as the price of Node is concerned, historically, major exchange hacks kille the price for a while (in crypto terms). However, most projects that are well supported by community and devs tend to always recover.  I imagine Node won't be any different.  It should crash (possibly very hard) but give it time.  It should go back up.  Of course, being on the heels of Nodepay, the crash could be minimized and very short lived.  We will just have to wait and see.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

I haven't lost anything here.
I learned that you shouldn't keep your money in exchange and I'm not a daily trader.

Well, it would be interesting to know the dev's opinions.

Common guys, you don't really believe this newbie account actually has 108mil NODE and left it on an exchange?  No one is that thick.

Again, this has TaunSew's trolling style written all over it.

BTER issue is another thing.

nodemonster, TaunSew, Starski - all same trolling style, all trying to cause FUD.

Hmm. I think we would've noticed earthquakes in the market if Mr Monster wasn't talking out of its sphincter.

It's a huge shame about BTer. It's a great site to use but after the NXT thing and this I'm not sure how they'll pull it back.

I'll be interested to where Node can head next. I know there's talk of its own exchange but some exposure to a wider group of buyers would be helpful.
