Ok, fine, I volunteered to be on the panel
Puppet on the panel. That's funny indeed. I am not a "puppet". I never disputed that I signed up from other accountants, and asked the developer to just keep this one. I never started a drama about "50% false positive" or my entirety family is lined up to signed up. Seriously, if sock puppets are allowed I want mine back. I even paid BTC, I think (that I never asked to be refunded) even though my this account was listed as free for ages (since January)

How about co-workers sitting in the same building under the same provider? Family members? Friends?
Well, in this case, can I sign up all my coworkers and family members? There will be 20 total! Thanks for your time. No you can't because it would be against the rules. But if it's the case that a couple of people are in this situation you can't just mark them as puppets. You need a proof. Stop Hack&Slaying around just because you were catched.

So people have to flip a coin who is creating Node account from work and who is going to Starbucks because he need another IP? And what if someone has been created his account from the same coffee shop? Remove everybody, what the hell.

You really think that is same coffeehouse two unrelated accounts signed up multiple times (they have log of IPs, not just account creation time) in a list with only 1400 members for an obscure coin? Pardon me I laugh

But you have admitted that those family members, friends and coworker are really your puppets. Do you understand now why you are pissing everyone off here, you confessed to being a puppet master, and now you will always be remembered as one. Not just in this thread, everywhere. You will now lose your NEM puppets too. You deserve it. This is why people are so worried about being accused as being puppet masters, it is not a good look!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

Good luck with controlling my Nem stakes as they are already on AE exchange I actually wish Nem had done better job in controlling sock puppets. It would have better for Nem

Yeah, and the probability of two unrelated people creating an account in same coffee shop for obscure coin is zero. They do have IP logs for all logins (not just sign up).

Do you realy have such a small mind? It's very common to share hints about stocks, alts and other investments within you social environment (friends, family, co-workers, sport groups whatever). So it's absolutely probable to have location based hotspots of investors.

Same IP is more than just "location" based. There is also time record, and time record and IP of all logins. There is plenty of evidence to clear sock puppets. Pus we don't know if the dev collected other info (browser, screen resolution, OS, etc). Lets wait for panel

It would have better for Nem NEM is three times more expensive than Qora without a operating blockchain. Utopian obviously knew what he was doing. From wording to organizing everything he did were carefully chosen so I suspect no one except him having many sock puppets. Statistically speaking, if each NEM veteran account bought one more, there aren't much room for NEM socks.

Keep dreaming 2 stakes were officially allowed, but average is much higher. There would be never a proof of course as they didn't have any mechanism to catch sock puppets except taint analysis which is easy to fool. We will find out how Nem does once all stakes are distributed and dumpers start dumping. It's too early to say. I have nothing against Nem ( I hope it does well), as I have plenty of Nem stake (bought on AE, not just socks)

I have nothing against Nem, as have plenty of Nem stake (bought on AE, not just socks) NEM was the first and no one cared in January so that could work in their favor. Do you think a veteran member cared that much about a clone alt. to make socks and sent money in in January ? Take kora for example, I don't even care enough to register for free until today. So how can they get more than 1000 veteran accounts ?

Nem actually came at right moment for "sock puppets" as it was heavily advertised and compared to Nxt where original Nxt stakeholders by January had made 1000s times the profit. The whole "sock puppets" thing started with Nem. It was not an issue before Nem. Nem started this trend with "fair distribution" idea. The solution to sock puppets is this: do not not limit BTC per account (like Simcoin that does't have sock puppet problem). Or check it by requiring registration on an external client (i.e nodecoin)
