Withdrawal also disabled. They are changing Node clients devs said. Waiting to withdraw 1M to start forging.

How it works?

How does PoA work, and what is different?

Node relies on an new mechanism for a secured an equitable forging process.

Because the current forging algorithms are not sufficient for ensuring a long term exploitation and have drawbacks we decided to innovate further.

We had the following prerogatives when elaborating PoA:
To motivate people to actively participate in the network development;
To encourage users to spend coins, facilitating the further distribution;
To reward those that give back to the network by maintaining their node active;
To increase democracy/fairness/egalitarianism/chances towards generating a block;

PoA stands for Proof of Activity, and its name expresses the way forging will be executed and forgers will be elected - by activity.
In this context activity is viewed as contribution towards the network, and the main indicators are:
Time and Spent Amount

Time
Each node’s active time will be recorded and calculated in seconds, since its last connection. This way a TimeHeight will be determined and used in the algorithm.
Spent Amount
Each extra coin spent will equivalate one unit of time, in this case 1 Node = 1 second. The Spent amount will be calculated within a day timeframe. Those extra units will be added to the timeheight to determine the actual Nodeheight = Timeheight + Units.

Procedure:
After syncing with the network, a node will become active, and will be able to generate blocks thus receiving rewards. After connecting to the network, the time of that connection will be recorded and constantly compared with other active nodes. As soon as a transaction is made, the network will be scouting the most active node by NodeHeight(by the longest activity + Nodes sent in the last 24h). When that node is identified it will be selected to generate the block, it will: send the intention, sign the block, validate , and consolidate it in the chain. After the generation the node’s NodeHeight is reseted. Time and 24h sent coin amount is calculated again, till the next positive generation call.

Well.. right now there is a protection rule that u need to have atleast 500k NODE in your account to be eligible to forge. After that.. u just keep ur client open and that's all. You will see you balance increase.

I dont think u r late at all. If u get ur 500k now u'll be able to forge and the price will rise for sure so not late.

This is an early stage yet. This will grow together with development.. and also with some marketing which has just started as you can see on blockstreet.

Nice app btw that blockstreet. Gonna wait for it to be available on android.

Yes I agree regarding blockstreet i wish it was on android crashes alot on my iphone.

I am weighing in on buying the 500k, dont want to be standing there saying i should of done so  Smiley

 Thanks for the great info and ultra fast response. I like this Node concept. Will it be minable\forgeable with mining hardware I have been mining BTC for almost 2 years now and would like to subsidize my BTC mining. Or is this strictly a cpu based thing?

you dont really need computing power. PoA doesnt require extensive hashing, its a new alogrithm. i recommend reading the whitepaper before you invest anything

You dont need any kind of powerful pc to forge. I'm forging by just having my client open in a laptop which i bought 2 years ago.

U can check whitepaper also in the link above to understand better what is NODE about.

1. start node_0.9.1b.exe
2. wait few seconds until message ... download blocks start
3. close node_0.9.1b.exe
4. download nxtlTx.db (block #3183) from http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/577810/nxtlTx-db.html
5. rename to nxtlTx.db
6. replace C:\nxtl\db\nxtlTx.db with nxtlTx.db downloaded
7. start node_0.9.1b.exe

Just bought in on Node at BTER, but when I want to withdraw it, this is what I get to see:

Due to technical maintenance, the virtual currency withdrawal is paused, thank you for your understanding and support

Same goes for attempts to deposit.
