I have 0.9.1 running on my linux but it does not listen on port 19775 any more.

ps -ax:

14659 ?        Ssl    0:00 /usr/bin/nodejs /usr/lib/node_modules/forever/bin/monitor index.js

Before, 0.9.0 worked.

I did
Code:
forever start index.js
to start. What am I doing wrong?

OK, I figured out the following: WHen re-installing it is not enough to simply unpack and re-run.

The steps 'npm install' and 'npm install forever -g' must also be performed!

This apparently registers the app with the nodejs, not doing this won't work.

Code:
5) Rename file clientConfig.example.js to clientConfig.js

6) The file clientConfig.js find accName: '"

7) Where "" in quotes to insert the password. Example: accName: 'testaccount"

8) npm install

9) npm -g install forever

10) forever start index.js

Well, I don't know if that's the case, but I tried running the client for 8-10 hours per day like a week in a row, but didn't forge any block at all. That way there isn't much incentive to keep the client running...

You have to use the new client 0.9.1b (available since2 days) with POA and it needs 500k nodes. With only few blocks last 2 days (because no deposit or withdraw from bter.com) are not enough blocks for all open clients. If your client is open only 10 hours a day, you get no block at the moment, because there are about 25 clients open 24 hours.

You just opened an account and forged a block?  If the only place to get NODE is BTER and withdraw is disabled , how did you get enough NODE in your account to forge?

I had there 500k of course. Which I get long ago. You misunderstood me. I meant I logged in my acc and after 1-2 mins forged a block.

how if later node going bigger and many transactions.
example any single transaction 100m and fee is 0,35% or 350,000 node.
so only with 500,000 you can get chance to forge 350,000 ?  Shocked

Network is stable atm, one suggestion there should be a password confirmation when we send NODE and also forged block should be in transactions with the title of "Forged".

2nd trimester: 0.25%
3rd trimester: 0.15%

Announcement

Proof of Activity Algo. Launched. Clients Win and Linux ready.!

Now you can try the POA algorithm on real network

Version Win: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_win.zip
Version Linux: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_linux.zip
Instructions for Linux (https://github.com/nodepay/Docs/blob/master/Instructions.md

Attention to participate in Forge POA, you must have the account 500 000 coins

And don't forget to follow us on Twitter - For the latest News & Updates

First you have to download last version of NODE client. Currently this are the latest versions. Open it and wait till blockchain is downloaded and working. (your account number is in the upper-right corner)

Also go to bter and buy minimum 500k NODE. Personally i bought a few millions.. After that withdraw them to your NODE account to start forging (deposit and withdrawals will be working on monday) and pay attention to the client updates dev team is doing almost weekly (yes they are working hard)

To be able to forge u just need to have your client open and eventually you will forge a block. What this means? When transactions are made.. let's say 1M.. that Million pays 0,35% fees, which is 3500 NODE. If you forge that block! You'll get those 3500 NODE! If u are not that lucky and u forge a block with let's say 10000 NODE, u'll forge 35NODE. A block can contain several transaction.

Good luck forging.

If I logout, do I lose my points (or units, I don't remember the proper name)? Or do I lose anything except the time when I'm not online?

This should be an optional setting. Wallet needs a configuration setup.
