node is in one-way lane today! 10k sell vs 4.2M buy  Grin

because deposits frozen on BTER and thus people are in a bidding war for what NODE is available to buy.

Just a classic case of noobs buying high and selling low.  Give it a week or two and NODE will probably be back at low prices.

OK so sell me yours while it's high!

This coming from someone who doesn't know the difference between 0.1% (0.001) and 10% (0.10).

Announcement

Proof of Activity Algo. Launched. Clients Win and Linux ready.!

Now you can try the POA algorithm on real network

Version Win: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_win.zip
Version Linux: http://nodecoin.com/node_0.9.1b_linux.zip
Instructions for Linux (https://github.com/nodepay/Docs/blob/master/Instructions.md

Attention to participate in Forge POA, you must have the account 500 000 coins

And don't forget to follow us on Twitter - For the latest News & Updates

First you have to download last version of NODE client. Currently this are the latest versions. Open it and wait till blockchain is downloaded and working. (your account number is in the upper-right corner)

Also go to bter and buy minimum 500k NODE. Personally i bought a few millions.. After that withdraw them to your NODE account to start forging (deposit and withdrawals will be working on monday) and pay attention to the client updates dev team is doing almost weekly (yes they are working hard)

To be able to forge u just need to have your client open and eventually you will forge a block. What this means? When transactions are made.. let's say 1M.. that Million pays 0,35% fees, which is 3500 NODE. If you forge that block! You'll get those 3500 NODE! If u are not that lucky and u forge a block with let's say 10000 NODE, u'll forge 35NODE. A block can contain several transaction.

Good luck forging.

If I logout, do I lose my points (or units, I don't remember the proper name)? Or do I lose anything except the time when I'm not online?

Good question, Silkk is able to answer that.

Network is stable atm, one suggestion there should be a password confirmation when we send NODE and also forged block should be in transactions with the title of "Forged".
ok, I will try in my client to check,
if this works well, and the price will go up.

People has paid 200 satoshis already. Non-existent marketing and dumpers took price down. But dumpers are gone and marketing started.. price will be back to 200 satoshis easily and then let's see how much will cost. I think 500 satoshis soon is not that difficult. I expect much more than 1k though

i like what's going on here.. I will note though the website does not have options for a mac client etc.. just assumes that you need a windows wallet. a little absurd imo - seems there is only a windows wallet at the moment so i understand where you're coming from. at least the download file is labeled

There is linux and windows client. I asked to devs about mac client and they said they will release a mac client also.

Why don't linux run on mac?

You seem to have missed the fact that Node is built from scratch on nodejs, which is s substantial innovation compared to all the Bitcoin knockoffs out there.

And it is also a re-implementation of the ideas behind NXT, which in itself is already an innovation to all the Bitcoin knockoffs out there.

Re-implementing another coin is not an innovation.
Imho the innovation of NODE is that it uses a fully connected netowork which enables instant transactions (which I'm still eager to see in a live environment).

You’ve created an account using a secret phrase: 13612210224060154205;

You automatically get 3 accounts, every account works with a separate module:
a) 13612210224060154205 - NODE & Genesis’s Block decentralized module;
b) 13612210224060154205USD - centralized module through a payment gateway;
c) 13612210224060154205EUR - centralized module through a payment gateway;

All the transactions are saved in its blockchain;

Exp:
You got your new account 13612210224060154205USD, now you can: add USD to it trough a secured payment gateway, send/receive USD to/from another XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUSD account for instance your friends, family, etc. or withdraw them through a convenient payment gateway.
