I've modified the UniversityCoind wallets on the servers so that they will help synchronize faster.

732 thousand blocks takes some patience to get up to date. I have probably downloaded the UVC blockchain over 100 times. Send me a PM if you want some tech support. I have had pretty good luck with a bootstrap.dat file, especially on Windows. I will post a link to one if anyone is interested.

The block chain has always been running. 300 days, and I think there were 2 days with zero minting.

To bad about cryptoine, hopefully they will be back stronger than ever. Even though we were in 9th place the last coin to be added was in 5th place, frustrating that we were so close.

When I tried to open the wallet, "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."

There is a 365 day limit on the age of a checkpoint, which displays that warning. It shouldn't effect the wallet's operation.
I'll publish a new set of source code and wallets within a few days that includes some updated checkpoints.(maybe a week)
It will also have the 300 second delay between minting blocks, which helps the wallet not relax a little. It makes sending UVC easier also.
The lack of connections is effecting the blockchain. I cranked up a bunch of small AWS servers last night for awhile that got things up to date.

Had a great chat in the C-CEX trollbox last night about UVC, that was fun.

Other than the checkpoint there is a change that delays staking a block by 300 seconds. This helps the wallet behave better.

But the wallet is not syncing. I tried restarting several times. Can you pls provide nodes?
