I sympathize with all the thoughts on the POS delay and I agree it's been handled terribly regarding what this community needs for hand holding and updates.  The price and general sentiment here displays that.

The current network sucks and blocks sometimes take hours and hours due to difficulty issues with digishield.  This needs to be addressed before a successful POS fork can take place.  The network has to be stable and predictable. While the code might be done, the testing is possibly causing some issues with this variable in mind.

has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like it would take to fork a coin to POS with unpredictable blocks that could take hours? Roll Eyes

Not saying this project hasn't seen some major neglect the last 2 months with empty promises of "soon" because it definitely has, and the network isn't usable in it's current form.

I've waited almost 5 months for this to happen, I'm not about to abandon it now.  I understand why others are though, if you don't have faith in the idea or project then by all means please exit now at these prices and not after the potential run up after the fix is implemented.

Everyone is welcome to come to #nautiluscoin on freenode and chat about the subject in real time if you'd like.

PS:  Awesome job mongoose on your development thus far!  Way to go
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

good post badon. They make it quite hard to stay positive and I can understand everyone who has had enough of the "soons".

Was the youtube-thing Weiner just tweeted anything substantial? It is blocked in my country.

No. The Mining network will cease to be and the PoS network will take over. Fixing the digishield issue isn't needed at all.

The PoS can just be coded to pick up at X block and continue the same blockchain.

In theory that is correct, but maybe they've tried (hince when i said "testing is possibly causing some issues with this variable in mind") and that is what's causing the delay.

Oh wait, looks like github updated and that's what they're doing.  Hmmm.  Smiley

I'm sure BK will make a post soon on details (not my place to post them). For now, keep an eye out.

There is plenty of talk. Delivery is difficult due to the blockchain issues that arose but a fix is being rolled out right now. Soon after will be proof of stake. This coin makes no effort to be a copycat coin but emphasizes a goal revolving  around informed economic growth. I truly believe this coin is a "top shelf" coin,  because if something isn't working BK looks to be willing to change it (no matter how long it takes). BK has also stayed he's invested personal time and money into this coin (not that of his business). There is true belief in this by the creator despite the troubles and strife. This is why I still believe in the coin and always will. I will be mining with the multipool.

I am a very patient person. Bitcoin took 4 years... And based on average life expectancy of an American Male... I've got time

Month ago I' ve started pandora's box of "lost patience" and I am glad cause lots of people thought the same. On the other hand I have to admit that I didnt sell yet. I did hide under water but still a believer. Rise a kNAUT!

BTC compared to PASC looks like big clumsy dinosaur - still not aware of meteor coming.

I'll be honest, I think a little bit can create that much movement in NAUT today too.

I didn't say it was happening, I said it was possible.
