Any chance that you will post a setup guide for the Gold Rush card like you did for the Prospector card?
Since the card came with zero instructions on how to set it up, I just don't want to guess at the power setup.
The card has 4 pcie power connectors but the box says you need dual pcie power connectors so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks.

Stick a PCI-E connector into each of the 4.... you are trying to deliver a lot of power so better safe than sorry.

edit: The maximum figures I've seen for how much power can be delivered via a PCIe 6 pin is 350 watts... most figures say 75 watts... so yeah, defo go with 4 PCIe connectors.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Pics of a Gold Rush card in the wild (in the UK)... with some creative extra cooling on the bottom of the chip... this isn't required.

Are you running @ 800mhz and what kind of temps are you getting?
default mhz is 550 and that only got me 360 ghs.
700mhz gets me 500ghs @ 88c.
Can I push it to 800mhz?
It was tested @ 800mhz and ran 689ghs but I don't
know how or what they used to cool it with.
whats the need for the usb running from the pump?
I powered mine from the sata power cable from the psu.

any info is greatly welcomed,
Thanks

How do I tweak the voltage on a Gold Rush card? it's running 0.83 to 0.84 and I want 0.88.

I am getting about the same results setup the same way. @ 800 mhz I was ~91C @ ~700 GH/s.

How about power consumption at different hashrates? Any real-world measurements?

What kind or cooler are you using, I don't think the corsair H80I is big enough to keep it cool.

H110i and a 240mm fan across the board. ~580Gh/s @ 88-90C @825MHz

I was incorrect on the 700Gh/s.
It eventually planes out to run under 600Gh/s regardless of clock setting (I tried 400-850). I hope there is some secrect sauce that will allow these cards to run within the 20% spec... If not I will be unhappy...

Has anyone tried to put a watercooled loop on these? I'm thinking of getting at least two and using a watercool setup like a PC i.e. pump / reservoir and a couple of CPU coolers in the same loop. Theoretically these should outperform the H80i

rangerbob21, have you measured power consumption at 580 GH/s?

At the moment this miner doesn't look particularly good. You could get 4 S1s for 0.44BTC each (4*0.44*450 = $792), undervolt them to 1.2 W/GHps, and get the same performance as this board (560-580 GHps), but save $50 + cost of cooling system (~$100).

I'm replacing S1's with these purely due to to cooling issues, don't forget to add PSU's for the S1's, realising you've asked for power consumption figures - I'm also very interested in this figure as well!

I am almost afraid to measure the draw... Smiley I will do so tonight and report back.

I actually hope my hx750m can't provide enough power to get the card to ~700-750Gh/s. If this is not the issue and the draw is in a "good" range then I have a separate issue. Possibly not good contact from the H110i to the chips for proper cooling?

EDIT: I just set up the kill-a-watt and @775MHz, ~86C I am getting ~550-600Gh/s and pulling 675 Watts / 5.7 Amps. FYI...

I am hoping someone will find fault on my rig setup and be the answer to getting the card up to spec...

Corsair HX750M PS + Corsair H110i cooler + 1-coolermaster 240MM fan cooling the board + good exhaust for the radiator (this same exhaust keeps a small room /w 4 S1's @~72F)

-I used the procedure in the Prospector card thread to attach the cooler using the 8/32 nuts.
-Cleaned and re-applied thermal paste on the board and cooler.
-The PS has all 4 Pci-e plugs attached
-I tested the OC from 400MHz-850Mhz and found the board hashed no faster and only created more heat for no gain... I let the board run for ~1 hour for testing at different OC levels.
-Getting <600GH/s steady @775MHz @~87C @.83-.85V (per cgminer 4.3.3)

I am beginning to think this is a card problem... Anyone else have a different outcome?

EDIT: The "masking tape" test results sent with the card show 686GH/s @ .88V @800MHz. I can get nowhere close to this number.
EDIT1: PIC!

Having the same issue's as you, same PSU, running the H80I cooler, extra fan blowing across the board.
Followed the Prospector card procedure to attach everything and I can only average 600ghs @ 800mhz @ 91c-93c.
Anyone have an idea on how to get over 700ghs?
Masking tape test results on ours showed 689ghs @.88volts and 800mhz...can't get anywhere close to that number,
even running an ice chilled water cooling system @ 800mhz still only pulls 600ghs average @ 90c.
