I don't know whether this has been mentioned, but Bruce just made a new "better" forum (bitcoinscene). The first post is by a user called "Penis." How appropriate. edit: oh damn it was the 4th post

What ever happed to that situation with Kevin/Toasty, anyway?

Despite what some people say about him, I still think Bruce has done a lot of good for the Bitcoin community. Maybe I'm just naive, but I don't really think he is behind the MyBitcoin theft/scam/loss.
You are naive.

Having Bruce promote bitcoins is like having Gary Glitter promote a children's charity.

ok ... watched a bit more of the new show than usual... because of the guests.... I still had to skip around and look away since the video is still warped with the incorrect aspect ratio... Here is a video I have found of Bruce (or his editor, or the guy who uploads the videos to youtube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkQ8cpPsoWU

Amateur is amateur... it's even worse when a so called "national broadcaster" does it... and faux and cnn are both guilty from time to time but "the bitcoin show" is guilty of it every episode "Not everyone deserves to have their head crushed, just 99.99999% of them."
Haven't seen anything new from them since Sept 15, wonder if they gave up... or do you need to be on a private list to watch it now

I've been wondering, too. Bruce stopped replying to emails and texts, and I haven't heard anything from him on his own forum for over a week now, either. Maybe he's in court?

hmm.. he's back. And thankfully it doesn't drag on for an hour ( 36 minutes) http://onlyonetv.com/2011/10/the-bitcoin-show-episode-048-dan-oconnor-running-for-us-congress/edit: I'm not even 30 minutes in - and already it feels like an hour. Ouch.. this politician he's interviewing wants to let parents and teachers have more of a say in the curriculum in schools "rather than applying some sort of universal standard" - "No universal standards" he says. Hmm, so science class could be creation 'science' if the parents and teachers in some school decide so? greeeat.

Are you suggesting that if a parent wishes her child to be taught creationism, and a teacher wishes to teach it, that such activity should not be allowed? You prefer that one monolithic governing body decide what is truth and teach it universally? Can you guess what would be the state of science if education in all of history had been taught only by one monolithic organization? Why... we'd still believe in creationism.

Such activity should not be allowed... Although I believe in certain segments of "creationism", I personally don't wan't my kids going to school to learn "theory's". I want them to go to school to learn facts. Is that to much to ask? *Just an observation* We're opening up the Bitcoin show thread back up. This only INVITES the trolls..

facts are theories......
Lol and that there my friend is a fallacy. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/theoryTheory a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena <the wave theory of light> a : a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation b : an unproved assumption : conjecture c : a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject <theory of equations> Fact 1. something that actually exists; reality; truth: A Theory is what you think happened/will happen. A fact is what is recorded as has happened. That's right even if you think something is 99% sure in the future that still does not make it a FACT. It may pass off as fact in today's society, but that is far from the TRUTH. Now knowing this how can we call creationism FACT when most of the world isn't even sure on which religion it should follow, let alone even beginning to think about who "made us", and HOW.

What is currently accepted as scientific fact should be taught, alternative scientific theories should also be taught, but creationism has no scientific value at all, and hence should not be taught. Who decides that? 100% of scientists do. Foolish, delusional parents should not be allowed to continue the tradition of creationism into the 21st century. edit: I see why a libertarian might think that this is too coercive. However, your right to decide things stops where the child's right to learn the truth starts. The rationale is the same as that for why you can't harm people physically.
