Um...did you guys overlook the most important part of why Liberty Reserve is no longer around "The site had over one million users when it was shut down by the United States government. Prosecutors argued that due to lax security, alleged criminal activity largely went undetected, which ultimately led to them seizing the service."

We definitely do not want to be associated with a service that was shutdown by the United States government.

I was going to mention that.

Money laundering & potential criminal charges is not a good direction.

For me, thats part of the business Wink

I mean, we all know what SilkRoad did to Bitcoin, so what?

Its called freedom, who cares. Everyone is responsible for they're own actions. Not the coin itself.

+1 we wont attach our self to the Liberty Reserve, but we need the people who used it on our Side & buy libertycoin. To make a statement for the US. You cant stop us!

Yea we definitely dont want to be associated with that shit..

Iconic, if we could get to $0.40-$0.50 in about 57 days? that would be awesome. I got extremely lucky on my first cryptocurrency purchase. I bought blackcoin at 500 sat with some throwaway money and made quite a bit in a month. I sold half at 90,000 sat (unfortunately the other half is floating in cryptorush fantasy land). I have taken those profits and added some and bought Libertycoin.

As I say, if we could get to $0.40-$0.50 in just under 2 months time, that would be totally awesome.

If we could get to $1-$2, I'd be looking at more money than I've seen at one time since I purchased my home.

If we could get to $5-$6 (say in probably 6months to a year), all I could say is omg.

NeuTroiste, thank you for adding motivation for a large sector of our community.

Go Libertycoin

You are most welcome Wink

Whoa hold on everybody just hold on!!!  Do my eyes deceive me???  Is Liberty actually going up?  Imagine that.  A coin that actually has worth going up.  Next you're gonna tell me that Blackcoin's going up. lol  Now that would just be ridiculous.

Where can I use this coin?

It is just under 3 weeks old, merchant adoption is coming soon.

@IconicExpert

You are a marketing wizard!  The Liberty coin folks are lucky to have you on the team!!!

It's almost as if you can will a coin to success! Smiley

Thank you... I sincerely appreciate your kind words!  Smiley

Iconic was one of the main reasons BC did so well, he's very good at marketing. Not that one member makes a coins value, it doesn't, but he was a driving and motivational influence before, and will do it again here i'm sure of it. Now you see why so many haters on Iconic, him being here and supporting this coin is huge win for our community. Thanks Iconic for all your hard world past and present.

I am genuinely curious about liberty coin and its success because I am making a cryptocoin documentary. Why do you guys thing Liberty Coin has seen so much success so far?

2 main things tend to drive the success of a cryptocurrency

1)  Technology / Innovation:  Why is this coin better than the other coins

2)  Community:  How effective they are at promoting the coin and communicating benefits of the Technology / Innovation

I know that. What is so innovative about Libertycoin. And I can see the community is very active.

LIBERTYCOIN  The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Is there a cool looking bounty post somewhere that asks for a multi-pool to be developed and shows the reward?  I could share that on my groups and Twitter.

Here is a sleeker more modern version. We definitely need something that is modern and also unique from the rest of the other coins.

Now that's nice, +1000. Looking sharp and catching to the eye.

Community devs have been working hard for their bounty to produce anon system for XLB.

It's not far off before they can submit their work.

#1 I love the new coin!

I did prefer the initial, 'flatter' looking version though.  Either way, great work!!
