Would you recommend to buy this miner or not ? Is it worth the buy ?
and how much would you rate it on the performance, support and overall as a miner  - out of 10.

they have temporarily removed the lander model because of some component supply issues.

Ok Sir. So how is your lunar performing ? do you still have the pool switch and reboot issue ? Are you satisfied with the product ? Should I go ahead and buy it ?
Just a little nervous before buying the product...

I would recommend this unit for purchase. It's a great bang for the buck.

If you're in the U.S. I would recommend buying from Jacob at Zighash - he's a great guy to work with.

I would like to say that I'm impressed but I never do less than .0023 daily and I've seen .0035 to .0045 a few times.

right now for today since 5:30 this morning I'm at .00258 and hope to finish by tomorrow morning at .003 for the day - we shall see.

Smiley

Wow! that's impressive. How are you doing so well with the miners. Do you mind giving me some guidance?  Thank you in advance! Smiley

Guys - I have to warN you about something. I just took a look at coinking and that multi pool is a house of cards.

their earnings are bogus because they're valuing flappycoin at 1 satoshi and that would be great if YOU COULD SELL THE FRIGGING THINGS.

They are mining flappycoin as part of their pool and there's not a single BUY order anywhere on any of the exchanges for Flappycoin - I'd hate to see you wind up with a bunch of coins you can;t even sell.

do your homework as to what these people are mining - IT'S MINER BEWARE!

I JUST DID THE MATH AND WITH MY HASH - I could mine 328,000,000 flappycoins each day and at 3.28 BTC - BUT THERE ARE NO BUYERS!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I know how it feels when people do not appreciate your opinion. What can I say, hmm.. they are nobody to you anyways. Just do what you do best mate.  Tongue

But would still love to hear some advice from you. =D I read about mining new coins before the others notice, but how? like how do you decide on which coins to mine. Please teach me sensei...  Cry Wink

I finally got my y Lunar Lander today and it isn't working. I tried with a laptop (downloaded the software), and with the RaspPi that is included (which I had to power with another cable because it wouldn't join the internet - thanks to the thread for heads up on that); and on both *AS SOON* as CGminer starts, the unit shuts down. I get this error in the log on the Pi:

Icarus Detect: Test failed at /dev/ttyUSB0: get 00000000, should: 00038d26

Not feeling great about this.

My PSU is rated platinum and at 1300W - pretty sure that's not the problem. I have each plug isolated, so I don't think that is the problem.  Since the error is USB related, I tried swapping out the USB cable - no dice.

I am open to suggestions.

well - don't use their power cable to power the pi - myself and other have had problems. In addition the ethernet cable they supplied did not work. In addition make sure you're nit plugging in the additional 2 wire plug from the pcie cable.

send a message to support@hashra.com - their tech guy is very responsive.

Thanks - I did take the forum's advice and used a different power cable for the Pi, so thanks for that.  I am using my own ethernet cable, and I can browse to the Controla interface.  And no, I am not plugging in the +2 on the PCI-E connections.  The thing powers up fine... makes lots of noise and even some heat... but then instantly shuts down once I ask to to do some mining...

So working with Hashra support, it appears I have a defective unit.  Now it gets interesting.  While the support team was responsive and proactive, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.  Hopefully Hashra views this as an opportunity to demonstrate excellent customer service.  Stay tuned...

After a few days, and just a few questions, support confirmed my unit defective.  I have sent it back to Hashra, at a significant cost.  Now let's see how they handle this process.  I've already lost 20 days *at least* because of the shipping "mistake" and the defective miner.  Really, really trying to stay positive on this one... would certainly be easier if Hashra met me half-way.

Every ASIC thread is full of stories like this.  I remember clicking pictures of KNC miners with the capacitors and other pieces just randomly falling out of the box.

(sigh) yeah, it's hard to keep the faith.  While Hashra has promised to recompense me somewhat with "store credits", I've yet to see any of them in my account, and as each day passes, LTC difficulty increases.  My broken miner is in transit, I'm out thousands of dollars, and the Hashra team just isn't too concerned about making sure I'm happy.  Put the credits in my account and I'd probably be naive enough to buy another miner!  Perhaps they're saving me from myself.

While this community is flush with optimists and helpful souls (I had so much fun setting up my GPU farm, and I learned everything I know on the fly), I fear the ASIC makers are preying on our good will and trusting impetus.  I just want the damn thing to work, and I'll buy more.  I am loosely planning to make a go of this as a small business.  So if one of these jackass suppliers would get their sh*t together, they might find themselves with a decent amount more biz.

I'm just super annoyed because in my business, I go out of the way to make sure my customers are happy.  Then they come back and I make more money.  I thought it was a pretty simple tenant.  But perhaps graft and thievery are simpler.

The latest version 1.4.7.5 for CONTROLA it is a failure.
If you want to edit / delete a pool the system frozen, and you must to unplug to power cable form the ASIC and the PI in order to start again.

The version v1.4.6.5.1  works fine !

I would have to disagree - I have never had to power off my power cable.

I may have to reboot once in a while after switching pools, but I do that via SSH and I'm fine.

I agree. With 1.4.6.5.1 I always had to reset to switch pools. With 1.4.7.5 I can switch on the fly. Seems like a winner to me

Was your miner turned off when doing that? I had problems switching priority orders before this, the whole system would be stuck, and a reboot was needed. Then I realized that my miner was actually turned off!

The Pi wasnt able to detect the miner in order to send new commands. That's why it was stuck.

I too am curious about the batch 2s' shipping status. The 15th has passed and no word or announcements and my message inquiring about the matter has gone unanswered.

The last I heard they were no longer shipping in batches because they said they had stock. Whether that was for all models or not I'm not sure because as in a few posts ago, they apparently took one model off their site due to parts being delayed.  Did you order or just inquiring as to delivery times?

I ordered and am just waiting for delivery but so far no word from them. I at least expect to get an e-mail from them saying there would be a delay due to hardware issues if that is the case. So far nothing from them. The batch 2 was the one that was removed that I ordered.

Yes, it's been on "Awaiting Fulfillment" ever since my order. Nothing else has change since then, no e-mail updates or messages. Not even an announcement from the newsletter. The thing that worries me is that I didn't hear about the supposed delay until I came here and I would expect to have been notified directly since I'm a paying customer. I have confidence that they will deliver it's just a flag and I don't like red flags.

On another note, I have been reading about some problems miners have been having with the hardware. Are they widespread or just a few units? And are the units being received so far of good quality? I had the same concerns when I bought my first S1 but all of the concerns from users were either trivial or easily fixed.
