@zhalox Thanks very much!

I also agree with what you've said about brokerages / fees etc., and when I talk with my friends about MtGox, I mention to them what it costs to have a seat at a United States exchange. It's really great that normal traders can access these exchanges without paying $50k / month!

Anyone know why after doing all the steps (except for installing on J:\SierraCharts instead of C:\SierraCharts) , after loading the file I only get a black chart? No lines, no green, no red, nothing?

I did the -d J:\SierraCharts commandline option on the bridge

-------------------------

Edit: I moved everything to the c drive to see if it would work, still the same problem.

The Message Log says this:

Starting real-time intraday chart updates for mtgoxUSD | 2011-06-06  22:19:20

Real-time data for symbol mtgoxUSD is temporarily unavailable. | 2011-06-06  22:19:20

You should not connect to data feed, just open file from data directory.

a) Do you see some data in mtgoxUSD.scid?
b) Do you open that file using File -> New/Open intraday chart ?

Edit:
c) Are you sure that directory is called SierraCharts?

I didn't click anything to connect to any data feed, I followed the directions that said "New / Open IntraDay Chart"

mtgoxUSD.scid is a little less than four megabytes, and using notepad I can see that there is indeed data inside.

I installed to J:\SierraChart , and when I couldn't get it to work even using the -d commandswitch, I moved it to my SSD, C:\SierraChart

No change, unfortunately.

ever going to have a Mac version?

I'm not a Sierrachart developer, but I doubt it. Sierrachart is built on top .NET technologies.

My sierrachartfeed-0.2 stopped working too.  This is extremely frustrating especially when Mt. Gox is dropping like a rock...

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Looks like mtgox side is down...

Update: In the meantime, you can use "hidden" feature of bridge: switch "-w", which disable websocket and start polling of bitcoincharts. Designed for situations like this Wink.

Has anyone noticed the BTC/USD price on the sierrachart feed going out of synch with the price on the website?

I saw this last night and posted on here, but don't seem to be getting any response.

Have a look at my thread for the full explanation.
