new wallet pushed out 1.6.5.4
checkpoints for mainchain added, new bootstrap, more stake splitting to prevent this from hapenning again hopefully.  Will explain in detail once we get network back strong again.  Also added supernode so it's easier for everyone to get chain going again.  Will hold vote on forums with what to do with extra endow funds that were staked during this.  After network is strong again

They all followed protocol, our wallet is exception because we had very large wallet and oppurtunity to stake that large amount others didn't. It's an incentive to keep network going, but it's too high in certain cases, so in future will prevent this kind of stake, in our extreme situation.

As you wish, I've only been around for 2+ years upgrading the protocol and decentralizing the whole system, why would I now try and pull some easily visible scam, it doesn't make any sense.  I understand in crypto the knee jerk reaction is to claim scam, but if I was a scammer you wouldn't know my real name and I never would have done hangouts.  How many times when there is a problem or mistake do I have to try to convince people this isn't a scam, think about it a bit.  The whole point of a public database is you can see the transactions and in this case you know who owns it, it's obviously not a trick.  Additionally I posted about it before anyone else knew about it and it was clear it was not an orphan: https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/endowment-stake.1456/  Go burn some other witch, there are many.

This was quite obviously a specific unforseen issue which the developers have been quick to identify and work on solutions.  For those who don't know, many other coins including Bitcoin have gone through similar issues with new wallet releases.  Shooting from the hip with accusations is a waste of your energy and my time.

Agreed. Quite satisfactory and glitches are to be expected. Dealt with as fairly as possible.

A bit of accusation or trolling is a good sign. Gets attention, and all publicity is good. Bring on more.

Read the first post https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/endowment-stake.1456/

And read this

https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/endowment-stake.1456/page-2#post-21865

If you have more suggestions please add them Smiley

Please vote on the fate of the large-stake coins: https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/fate-of-the-1-6-5-2-large-stake.1464/

Both ways ensure that this VRC will never hit the market. Time to pick Smiley

1.6.5.5 fixes the issues in 1.6.5.2-1.6.5.4. A recent bootstrap is available and a new conf with known good nodes is live at http://www.vericoin.info/downloads/vericoin.conf.

Please update your wallet and if you are not synchronized to the same block as the explorer, please reload blockchain: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/

I wrote up a long description of what happened and what we've done to fix it here: https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/details-on-the-1-6-5-2-blockchain-issues.1463/

Additionally, I have created and tested a burn address with an unknown private key which we can use to dispose of high-interest stakes if that's what the community decides: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/address.dws?VRCBURNCNhMBcyVBiYB4znn61PfYy7gVCb.htm

Please vote on the fate of the large-stake coins: https://www.vericoinforums.com/threads/fate-of-the-1-6-5-2-large-stake.1464/

Support the VeriFund Endowment.
