That would require NFD to make a solemn promise never to add anything that would break backward compatibility - and to keep that promise. JL777 considers backward compatibility to be 100% essential for merchant use.

We decided that we will not support forced pk announcement for first transaction. It will be optional.
DGS will be activated at a specific block height. The height depends on testnet testing results and bter.

DGS is activated for testnet since block height 41000. Currently testnet is  at block height 58000

Merged features from NXT-developers:

• Alias transfer
• Encrypted messages
• PublicKeyAnnouncement attachments accepted after DGS block.
• Economic Clustering - fork detection and forge penalizing after transparent_forging_block_8
• encrypt-to-self message attachments for every transaction type
• peer networking gzip compression
• When hallmark protection is enabled, the
  nxt.maxNumberOfConnectedPublicPeers count is now based on hallmarked peers only
• New addPeers request to improve the propagation

New NFD feature:

• UPnP support

Hi folks!


Im still holding my original share. Really hoping the team will get this coin up to some really heavy satoshi value.
Personally i hope for a satoshi price around half of NXT coin price! It would be an excellent new investment coin
for people who lost the NXT train.

To the team; please do what you can to get this baby brother of NXT to the big price league!
I have relied on the team all the way since NFD was rescued from the scam dumpster and really hope you guys/(gals?)
can pull this together for the big price rise quickly and steadfast!

xGate is currently setting up a vps server using testNet. Since the changes from 1.1.6 to 1.2.6 made a change of API mandatory, xGate will operate on 1.2.6 only.

So when eventually NFD mainNet goes gto 1.2.6 (or later) also, xGate services should become available to leapfrog the dumper sump in BTer.

With its faithful compatibility to NXT, NFD has potential to become an insider coin- this will be fun to watch and develop as all the hype will be going to SUPERNET IPO in the next weeks.

Hi...I didn't reply until now because I didn't remember anyone who was pushing for c-cex to list NFD. Since no-one else seems to know too, I guess you meant hitbtc.com. Truth is, I've heard nothing from them so far.

Sorry, everyone, but I read the whole IPO thread and James said he's only looking for coins that are innovative - he implied, innovative from the get-go. He said "no clones" very explicitly. He also said, very explicitly, not to waste his time. Given that, I'm afraid I'd put him out if I applied. He's already disqualified one coin because (in his judgment) the promoters got pushy.

well NFD is certainly not the in any way shape or form fir for superNET. First of all, what a coin needs is an active userbase. Fantasizing has about superFeatures has never helped.
Without an active userbase- who would want to trade a token that they could just as well produce themselves by dl'ing an open source code base and hitting the GENESIS button?
