Yes!  I got my sgminer running!  thanks guys and now for the million dollar question...  What kind of settings should I run with my r7 260x sapphire 2g ddr5?  I am getting like 625kh/s right now with

 -I 16 -g 4 -w 128

what could be an ideal configuration?  I like this coin and have a good feeling about its potential!

any larger pools out there above 7Gh/s?

Here's a tip for all noobs:  you don't need to mine at a large pool to get coins...   Grin

http://gyazo.com/46ffd348d6aebcd33a1b0736769153da

-tb-

but that's only if you're a relatively large scale miner, right? Smaller scale miners should stick to the bigger pools? (I'm ultra small scale now that my rentals are up) Am I mistaken?

A larger pool only evens out averages. A smaller pool can be more profitable in periods if they are lucky, but over time it will be the same as the larger pool. I'd say anything over 250MH/s total pool speed is acceptable if you plan to mine for at least 24h. Your own speed really doesn't matter.

Sometimes... in my experience you need at least 1% of the network hash to make a dent.  Otherwise you'll get a ton of 500% blocks and the such.

Anyways, dedicated is back up to 23gh/s if you guys are looking to hash this.  And all earlier issues are now solved!

If you can afford it, consider selling your video card on ebay and replace it with a r9 290, or at least a 280x or your mining won't be profitable.

I get 1.850 Mh/s with a sapphire r9 280:  -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192.

Brave man!  Grin

--failover-only -o localhost:24240 -u user -p pass --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1 -o [other pool with stratum goes here for backup and longpoll]

in conf-file should have something similar to this:
Code:
listen=1
server=1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

that is a plan for the future sir!  i want to get together enough coins from mining to afford me a 280x.  I just need to get some good coins like this one under my belt first to pay for it!  thanks for the input tho!

alright dumb question, is it common for exchanges to list coins without being asked by dev and community?

Yes. If they find it interesting. They do what they do, when they do it. Dev's have little to no control over it, though some exchange operators are quite willing to work with new coin devs.

Um..

Code:
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 10000 * COIN;

correct me if im wrong..but that is 10k not 1k?

and the premine:
Code:
 if (pindexBest->nHeight == 1)
    {
      nSubsidy = 5 * COIN;

is that not 5% not 0.5%?

If this post gets deleted. I guess I know my answer...
