he is running the avalon 6 with zero issues at 120 volts.  between both of us  we have run the avalon6 for more then 40 days zero issues.
Well wow, I wouldn't have thought to even try it at 120v to run my Avalon.  But your success makes me rethink, and I'll have to try my Avalon tonight.  Even though it works for you my mind looks at the numbers on paper and says it shouldn't work.  I just don't want to burn anything down...

check with aarons6  he has had it since may 14th

Most of the server grade PSUs I've dealt with could handle more than advertised. I know sidehack has pushed a few beyond their potential.

Hooked up the Avalon6 last night and powered it via 120v.  It ran all night just fine at 3.5TH, 11.9v, pulling almost 1100W at the wall.  Temps on the miner and psu looked fine with my infrared thermometer, but I could tell that the psu fan was kicked up a couple notches vs. were it would spin when I ran it off 240v.  Wish I still had high voltage at the new place, I might pay to have an electrician add a circuit, but good to know I can at least use my Avalon again!  I am going to send it off to be hosted anyways...

The screen-shot above suggest that cgminer just "recognized" this device as an "AMU".
I would swear that was the identifier used for the original Asic Miner USB sticks. Is this
cgminer software any "special" for support of this, or did it "just work".

The screen-shot would suggest that it looks to the software like a "100x speed"
USB stick. Is that more or less correct?

Custom build of cgminer. I'm told the changes will be available for merge shortly.

Rockxie said that the price will be adjusted in the next few weeks.  Any idea if the price on your end will change as well?

Also, if it is a custom build of cgminer, can it be downloaded from somewhere to use a r-pi as a proxy like a cube?

I'm assuming you are referencing his May 11th post. At that time he was quoting me a $99 retail price, and the drop was to $89. I don't really think they can go much lower due to manufacturing costs. Regardless, I'll be following his pricing scheme.

Once RockMiner's custom code is published, cgminer devs should review and hopefully merge into to the main branch. Until then, you'll be able to pull the fork and build on the platform of your choice.
is there any way to contct you ? discord or something ?

Accurate. CrazyGuy is listing on my behalf (because of increased visibility) some retired S7s that NotFuzzyWarm donated. I'm working them up to 550MHz (3.7TH) and a single fan below 3KRPM for [relatively] quiet operation and able to run off a 110V outlet (drawing around or, in most cases, under, 900W wall). Half the take is going to my friend Laura's med bills donation page (as linked in my signature below) which will be a big help.

I've received a small batch of 9 moonlander units, which will be going out to the first 9 single unit orders. The rest of the preorder units will be arriving sometime next week and will be going out shortly thereafter. All orders will be going out in kit form, with instructions included.
Thanks for your patience!

Probably not, unless Sidehack lucks into another pallet of S7s on the cheap. But since he's busy trying to push out 600 2Pacs a week and catch up with orders before Christmas, plus starting Terminus pod manufacture, that's not too high a priority.
