PoW can still be mined through cloud mining, etc. What is different here is that PoW is given less importance. PoB is given more importance in this coin. PoB is cloud mining/not net mining resistant since it has no use for them and having them offers no benefits.
Can you please clarify this? Say I have PoW mined X coins using bot-net, then I started PoB them (on same botnet) - surely the chances of getting good hashes are higher if I distribute it over thousands of nodes? |

Another question is that will windows based POW miner be released at launch tonight? There will be a Slimcoin client binaries released for windows. That client does have Dcrypt mining inside of it for solo mining. There will also be an external Dcrypt miner program intended for pooled mining (slimminer CPU), but only source will be released for that. Thanks to whoever made this countdown timer but. this countdown timer is off by 1 hour, the releases will be in ~40 minutes, not 1hr 40mins. One burn transaction (a set of burnt coins burned at once) will generate the same burn hash until a new PoW block is found. Spreading this burn hash over many computers is useless as all of the computers will generate an identical hash. |
