if i dont wana trade my stake or parts of it i dont have to care for this and can wait for regular launch right?
yup.. if you dont want to use the AE then its ok.. just wait until real coins are launched and no problem. this is more just a way for small buyers to be able to buy nem if they cant afford the auction. we want to include everyone. not just those who can afford a bench mark Like people who missed the NEM boat entirely, like li'l ol' me.

But Nxt AE is still a safer place to store the stakes and you don't need to worry about that your BTT accounts might be hacked one day.

Good idea, use NXT asset exchange instead of counter party.

I'm also for it. The NXT AE would be perfect for that.

Yes, but current stakeholders can sell their stake on Nxt AE to people that missed the boat.

I'm fully in favor of this proposition If I were to decide, I would even go as far as to issue NEM to the stakeholders EXCLUSIVELY using the NXT AEx. No custom software or anything, just an egalitarian asset. That should have a similar result as making a whole new currency, but much less hassle and time.

How would we then transfer the tokens to actual nem coins?

Or maybe you could start making a plan to transfer all Nxt to NEM blockchain at some point. Why use POS when we are going to have POI and more ?

If the technical basis would be better, why not.
I'm all in favor of any such idea, as long as it creates network effect, and less redundant structures if possible.

You send the tokens back to the issuer who will be utopian and you send him a nem address to and he will send you the same amount of nem coins. It would be like if you transfered 10 btc to me on bter or cryptsy and i sent 10 btc to a btc address that you told me to send to. So they just get swapped out for real coins right but there are ALREADY thousands of stakeholders. Imagine all the small players who buy in. I doubt utopian will be able to read/manage that many messages/emails. It's just something that should not be a manual process. Some automation is needed

No offense but this is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard on bct

Redundancy is not a bad thing imo. We will always need a spare just in case. In my view, different design choices would differentiate different blockchains and it is possible that we co-exist if each has their own strength.

I am quite wary of unnecessary competition, and I think there is good reason to. Of course I won't be lauded in a forum like this full of right-wing libertarians, but oh well, I don't care so much

Might as well have it on XCP counterparty and MSC mastercoin as well as NXT AE so it's in all of the markets.
