An vulnerability has opened up for a specific user give themselves an insane amount of Bitcoins. These has been used to trade in the markets, balances has been re-arranged.


All in all, BTC, DOGE and ESP balances cannot be trusted, the vulnerability caused the attacker insert a transaction within deposit systems. But did not think that Novaexchange is a young exchange that doesn't bank a lot of coins. The total volume of BTC in the most important wallet was 3.82 BTC before the attack, not a huge amount but that does not mean it is not painful for some.

The attacker themselves did not get away with anything - actually it is happy users that got traded in ESP market during the last few hours that became happy they sold for BTC and withdrew everything. Which caused the wallet to go empty.

All trades and such is logged and I could technically do a rollback of all trades even if it will take a lot of time to sort everything out. Which would you prefer?
I am concidering to close down the exchange permanently once you have withdrawn your coins, unless the community gives any reason for Novaexchange to stay around. I wanted the site to become a serious player in this business with a lot of alt-coins that other exchanges refuses to trade, that was the idea behind Novaexchange."

Sounds like novaexchange got messed up. however doesn't sound like they lost a lot of coins or anything. I hope they fix their issues and can recover. They should probably roll the trades back. The trades should have never happened anyway.

BTW, I asked and it would seem that prypto stopped accepting new resellers about 4 weeks ago. They've since removed the info related to signing up, etc.

AlcurEX will launch new site probably this sunday in 2016-05-08. As I understand, all the orders will be cancelled but balances will be carried over to new site.

Great news! For now AlcurEx, has been the only exchange that keeps moving CSC and the release of a new site will make it very attractive for new and old investors as well. As for Novaexchange, it is sad to see it close but eventually we will be able to see better exchanges for CSC. Just hold onto your CSC and hang out tight. It is going to be a bumpy ride.

Out of curiosity, why would they remove the info for signing up? Wouldnt they want as many resellers as possible?

THose guys are pretty busy last couple weeks. I haven't had a chance to talk to them about specifics, but as far as I know everything is moving along.

The price has been drifting lower on low volume. If this really sells off I'll probably start thinking about buying more soon. Honestly, it's probably better that we keep the price really low just for the immediate future in case the cryptsy receivership starts liquidating coins soon. Last thing we want is to give those clowns money they don't deserve.

I have seen prices fall drastically over the last days, but it can only mean something and that is the perfect opportunity to grab some cheap coins. I don't expect for it to keep falling in price, but seeing that only alcurEX (as listed on Coinmarketcap) is the only exchange, it is that what makes its trading volume become so low. Hopefully, with the addition of Bittrex (if they decide to add up CSC) will probably make some big changes in its volume. Looking forward for casinocoinsites.com launch real soon.

Yeah try to buy 1m. It's basically impossible. The only coins we see selling pretty regularly are from a few miners that dump sell them everyday. This creates this slow constant downward selling pressure. I'd say take advantage of it and get some cheap coins if you are inclined.
