I'm glad that there were able to set it up considering it was week-end. Who do you want to try next? Smiley

I am going to try out hashplex, as soon as their contracts become available again. A problem with them is they only charge for full KW of power requirement, but the price is good.
(If you can get your units to pull near full KW)

I also had experience with Juan´s hosting (112bit.com), which is only available for the Antminers he sells.
1 Antminer S2 for 87,5$ per month (on a one year contract) seems like a good price. He also stated he would allow upgrades to Antminer S4 once they become available.

I'm looking for some miner friendly colo space in the Tampa/St. Pete, FL area. I'm running 11 S1's and 1 S2 but am at the cooling capacity of my current location and can't add any more hardware there. Ideally it would have 24x7 access and m-to-m rent accepting Bitcoin for payment.

Thanks

I got a message from Advania today that because of the 2 day delay in setup, they would waive the 150€ setup fees.

The hosting itself is very professional and i had no problems so far, they were just overwhelmed with work that week.

Temperature at intake shows 18°C (in the summer!), which is really good and allows full OCing of the sp10.

To summarize, I am very happy with sending my rig there. Excellent cooling, good connectivity with low ping and sensible pricing are among the benefits of colocating your equipment there.

That's very nice! I had one day delay and I would be happy with 50% of installation fee waived Smiley

I am expecting 2 more things: bitcoin payments and VPN and I'm moving my SP30s with them.

I am quite okay with public IPs.

I guess the prices in WA state DC will be better than getting your sp30s hosted there (~85€ / kW), bulk shipping discounts, 100$ setup fee....

To clarify, I had three days delay in total. I would have been okay with one day, as that can be fairly common in my opinion.

New facility:

Since you guys are talking about datacenters, I'm going to shamelessly plug ASICSPACE, the one I'm working on:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657461

We're still building it, and still working out the details on pricing, but I'm pretty sure our prices will be better than anyone else's by a very wide margin. Right now we're thinking $90/kW/month for month-to-month contracts, and around $68/kW/mo if you pay 12 months at once. No per-kWh usage charge, the $90 or $68 is everything.

We won't accept anybody's money until the facility is online or nearly so, and we can't currently guarantee that we'll be online in time for your preorders. However, I will state that I myself have quite a few August SP30s coming in, so I have a strong incentive to have everything running by August. If you're getting September SP30s and you're willing to wait until around August 1st before making a decision, I think we will probably be able to accommodate you. My guess is that we'll have half a MW available in September, with more to come soon after.

We plan to do a p2pool node. We'd prefer email-based pool configuration and overclocking. I'd like to also offer customers the option of port-forwarded access to their machines' web UIs or SSH ports if they can accept the reduction in security that comes therewith, but I can't guarantee that yet.

Thanks RoadStress, you beat me to it.

No problem. By the way I'm assuming that since we pay a price per kW we can change equipment as much as we want as long as we use the same power as we paid. Is that right?

Uncertain. I've been thinking about this situation a bit, and I can see arguments in both directions. I'll talk it over with my partners, and we'll come to a decision at some point in the next two months.

Edit: I'm leaning towards "yes", though.

We can setup terms to have 1-2 equipment changes in 12 months to avoid this.

Edit: jtoomim by the way please provide some kind of references because I don't feel that comfortable to send you miners at this point. We all know that there were a lot of scams and many trustworthy members vanished with hardware. It's nothing personal, but we are dealing with expensive equipment here.

I have shipped my SP10s to Troy, MI. http://www.michigan-colocation.com/index.php/server-colocation/bitcoin-miner-hosting

MichColo was very helpful and fast, sending me all the paperwork the moment I have asked for it. Got my IPs as soon as I have signed the paperwork, and managed to do all necessary stuff in less than 24 hours. Very professional so far, will let you know more, when my miners arrive and start mining.

UPDATE: Ambient temps around 40 Co. Other than that, everything is ok.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.msg7696949#msg7696949

UPDATE 2: Temps are back to 28-30 Co. No other issues so far. 0 downtime, perfect internet connection. Recommended collocation.

Updates... As been discussed, http://www.asicspace.com/ updated to directory.

Another one spotted by Speedbus:
Code:
[23:05:51] <+SpeedBus> QG
[23:05:51] <+SpeedBus> https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1386383
URL: http://www.astoundcom.com (see Thread ^ for Bitcoin h/w hosting offer) (linked for your convenience https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1386383 )
Location: Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, D.C., Denver, New York, New Jersey, Tampa, Nashville, Austin, and Silicon Valley - USA

I have emailed cameron at astoundcom and am awaiting reply. I am particularly interested in their Option A.
Quote
Option A- Portland, SLC, and Austin- $1,000 per month
- Full cabinet 42U
- (2) 30 amp/ 208V circuits(active/active). 12.4 KW per cab
- 12 month term
- remote hands available 24/7/365
-Multiple racks available in cage environment
-Bitcoin miners and hosts welcome. Open rig friendly data center.
4 x SP30 could fit and each paying ~$250USD/mth.

and also Option E if I was thinking big. I'd have to push better pricing tho. but on the other hand. comes with free Remote Hands services per month.
Quote
Option E- Portland, SLC, Austin- $5,260.00 per month
- 100 Sq. Ft. cage (4 racks)
- 50 KW
- (8 ) 30/208V circuits(active/active)
- Cross connect or 10 Mbps bandwidth burstable to 100 Mbps
- 4 Hours of Free Remote Hands Services per Month
- 24 x 7 Technical Support
- 100% Uptime SLA for Power and Network
- 100% Customer Satisfaction
20 x SP30 each paying ~$260USD/mth.

rough calc, you'll be paying less than 15cents per kwh for each SP30 unit. 12months commitment is tough tho. lets see what we can do about that..
I have a SP10 ready to ship to them for trial run. Awaiting reply to my email.

Anyone interested in a "Group Buy" for co-lo rack space?
Take Option A for example. We only need 4 people, or 4 x SP30 in a rack with dual 30a 208v circuits. I have 1 SP30 on pre-order in Aug. and have intentions on a 2nd Sept unit. I only need 1 more person with 2 SP30 to do this deal. Post if interested, or PM.

I can concur http://www.michigan-colocation.com has been very professional thus far. They moved my SP10 from 110v to 208v as mentioned. They first contacted me to inform me of the move. I acknowledged and the next morning the SP10 was on 208v and i didn't even get a alert from my Pool to say the miner went down. Very efficient!!

Cheers,

Totally. We're all a bit busy at the moment, but we'll have more personal info up before we start accepting money. If you name something specific, I might be able to provide it.

@QG

Prices look good on those racks.

Would definately be interested in a rack to fill with my sp10 / sp30 once available.

My question would be, are they able to cool the full 12kW per rack? What is their cold aisle temperature?

Also, on the bigger option: Try and tell them you don´t need a 100% SLA, 99% would be enough, you should be able to get prices down by atleast 30% with that.

PM me if you want further details.

For anyone with hosted units in Iceland, is.centralcavern.uk:9332/static/ is a p2pool node located inside Thor Datacenter.

I have a ping of under 1ms to it, and pings from Iceland should be excellent.

This is the first p2pool node in Iceland afaik.

Today I'm very pleased to be able to finally offer bitcoin mining hosting here in Iceland through Moria Datacenter. We're currently in the process of building the DC in Keflavik and aim to be fully online by the end of August. This is a full 8MW DC built for the express purpose of hosting bitcoin mining. We offer natural but filtered air cooling, fire suppression system and 24/7 on site security. Please feel free to PM me for any additional questions you may have.

I have emailed cameron at astoundcom and am awaiting reply.
technically I am still waiting for a response. I had to use the online contact form at their website to get a reply, and got this:
Code:
Hi Jason,

So we can start with a minimum of a single rack on a 12 or 24 month term.
Pricing posted is based on 24 month term. Does this work for you?

Thanks!

Cameron

Sent from my iPhone

and that has been the only reply I've had, even after replying to the above email with more questions. I have still to receive a meaningful reply from Cameron (President/Founder). Someone else might want to try. Maybe my emails went to Junk mail? But I wont be sending my h/w there.

MORE EDIT: Please always check Customs regulations for the country you are importing your h/w too. Customs can hold your package for weeks if you have not filled out your consignments to a certain criteria. Consider import duties and taxes should you declare your package over a certain value.
I received sad news from a follow miner looking for hosting in another country. H/w got held up at customs for a full week and was return to sender.

QG

EDIT: Last min. update..
Here is my little 10 x SP10 mining setup in our bitcoin hosting facility in Iceland Smiley

Note that we are taking on new customers now - we have 500kw capacity available immediately @ $120 USD/kw + $150 USD install cost on 6-month commit.  Intake temperatures less than 18 degrees celcuis and 99% uptime SLA - send enquiries to kris@bitsmelter.io
