So now we see 1.1 TH on XC coin i guess x11 is no longer a viable option unless you like mining against botnets, fpga and possibly asic miners.

which range from free electricity to very cheap electricity not to mention if it is true there are 1GH x11 asics then it is a waste of time gpu mining.

What algo is there that can give gpu miners a fair chance at some coins?

scyptN? qrk? what is left?

i think secret asic for x11 are mining because of darkcoin that was very profitable, they will make some profit before announcing and selling them

sry but i can't believe there is a 1 TH of gpu farm out there, must be an asic or fpga

anyway good alternative:

jackpot algo for nvidia

x13 for amd, curecoin folding for amd is also a good option, but i don't like how it stress too much the cpu

There is an x13 GPU miner, I also applied x13 to the x11mod and while I can't compare speeds of the regular kernel(seems to be broken) I am hashing at 750kh/s on a 5850 at intensity 15 715/995mhz.

Man you guy's must enjoy the chase, I have seen gpu miners get ripped time and time again, it is starting to look like there will be no algo that cannot have a chip or system made that is optimized to mine it.

That is because there can't be.

MY thoughts exactly, X11 gets too much attention. DRK is close sourced, plseudo-anonymous. This will make it crash real hard.

VTC is the future with it's upcoming stealth address system.

maybe not, but I am sure there is a way to limit workers to how much they are allowed to work, just like a boss = 8 hours a day- I would use that algo

Q2C has a unique set of 5 algos (luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo) not used in other coins (i think).

With cure coin you can disable the cpu or only allow one core to fold. gpu run super cold with this one. I have quite a few rigs on that.
