Can anyone answer this question;

Why would a programmer share his "cutting edge" work with his "competitor" before its even released?

They wouldn't.  Next question.

Ok. So than battbot (cinni) didnt saw the code?

How would I know?

Hehe. Two options;

1. Xc dev shared his "cutting" edge code with competitor (which you say they wouldnt)
2. Battbot / cinni spread lies.

1. The developer asked a forum member who seemed knowledgeable in Programming to look at it and verify that it worked and was real.  That forum member stated that he was not he did not have the proper knowledge to analyze coin, and the community asked Battbot to do it since he was a developer.  Nothing more

Been here since day 1.
Mined from day 1 after it was announced on altcoincalendar.  Then it was us and not the developer who pushed to get this on the exchange.  he never once asked us to do it, nor even talked about it at the time because he was just trying to produce.

Is there a minimum amount of coins needed in the wallet for minting?

EDIT: why delete your previous post?

After thinking about it i assumed you were asking everyone the question.  I'm nobody, the same as you.  Let me rephrase, they shouldn't share the code, not wouldn't.  I don't know the answers.

Honest question, just trying to educate myself at the moment.
Does xc have a proof of concept for anonymity?
Can you actually send coins right now anonymously?

yes there is a proof of concept u should start reading this :
http://www.reddit.com/r/XCofficialreddit/comments/26p1z1/some_of_the_tech_going_into_xc_for_the_techsavvy/

So at the moment I can send  coins anonymously with XC?

No you cannot send coins anonymously. This functionality was completely removed from the current release.
The mixer was not working properly and apparently the dev was not able to fix it till now.

Is there a timeline for anonymity to be added to XC?

Dude, this is FUD.  Anonymous transfers work NOW in the wallet.  I am so sick of these trolls.

Then please tell me how can i send coins anonomysly with the current release? The sendfrommixer command was removed, and there is no button to send coins through the mixer.
If you tell me how to do it and it works i will apologize and edit my post.

He said it works through the console.

i just redownloaded the current release linked in the first post.
Code:
22:16:26

{
"version" : "v0.9.1.5x11-coin-1.0",
"protocolversion" : 71002,
"walletversion" : 60000,
"balance" : 0.00000000,
"newmint" : 0.00000000,
"stake" : 0.00000000,
"blocks" : 21956,
"moneysupply" : 5511247.84026700,
"connections" : 2,
"proxy" : "",
"difficulty" : 5205.79639598,
"testnet" : false,
"keypoololdest" : 1401225684,
"keypoolsize" : 101,
"paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
"errors" : ""
}

22:16:36

sendfrommixer

22:16:36

Method not found (code -32601)

What's troll..
very normal question.. no timeline.. ?

Alright. Based on the facts that it seems that currently there is no anonymous feature available for this coin, as well as not having a timeline or release schedule, I've decided to hold off investing until these issues have been ironed out.

Reading through this thread, it seems that the source will be published today. After reviewing the code, I might decide to invest.

Thank you for your time.

@TEKA,

Can you please make one post answering the 2 ongoing (& out of control) questions in this thread:
1: Is the ANON function working at the moment?
2: Was there ever a peer review of parts of the code?

regards,

1: It's in there but it's currently worked on so the node is down.

2: Basically this:

1. The developer asked a forum member who seemed knowledgeable in Programming to look at it and verify that it worked and was real.  That forum member stated that he was not he did not have the proper knowledge to analyze coin, and the community asked Battbot to do it since he was a developer.  Nothing more

Basicly he just excuses himself on the previous page. He wrote something like " i just received anon transaction, sorry for misleading".

Are you saying that he confirmed the transactions were anon, but he didn't review the code?

For how long will they be there? Ie; when will they be changed?

The thread is locked so no posts in that thread can be changed.

You can't make this up. After asking my previous questions, a user PM'd me with this:
Just thought you should know.

xc mixer

Well. This thread is kind of funny. I would suggest to fire up a windows vm and try it out yourself. I cannot see any anonymity functionality in there. While others claim it exists, but nobody answers on how to do a anon tx... in older releases the consolecommand was "sendfrommixer <fromaccount> <toaddress> <amount>"

It actually kind of "worked" in 2 previously releases till i found a way to exploit the mixer.
The dev told me, it would be fixed in the next version, so i tried again after next release and it was still exploitable.
From then on the anon stuff was completely stripped off the wallets as far as i can tell.

I personally lost my trust in the dev. I never got a solid reply for anything. I asked for a bug bounty, no reply at all. Hell he did not even ask for a detailed explanation of the bug. All he asked for was a screenshot and afterwards i still had to explain to him what is wrong...

Who do you think are buying/selling? Multiple ways to attract people..

Don't know what you are referencing but I'm not selling or buying and the premine address is public.
