The test release will be decentralized as well, anybody can join the xpool at any time provided they have XC's in the wallet.  This is only for testnet use only

thanks for the update, that's really great.

Holy shit Dan is releasing a beta on testnet to test decentralized xnodes already?!?! this is insane!!!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

do not increase the interest, terrible idea. centralised finance works differently compare to crypto finance!

look at nxt, they do not have any interest or inflation the only thing they get from "forging" is the transaction fee from the current forged block! and that isn't very much but still loads of people are forging and running nodes because they believe in nxt and they want to protect their own investments.

I run a rasp pi 24/7 forging as well and I barely made few cents for a long long time, but you can think of me paying few cents each day in electric bill to protect my investment.

Finally I got the binary XC on my Raspberry Pi after so long time compiling, and now it's syncing.

BTW, I have no XC right now, and I will buy some to do PoS mining on the Pi. Wait me, don't pump to much.

Donations are welcome.

DRK approach vs XC approach

DRK

Imagine if you will that you had a message and you wanted to send it to a friend. Delivering this message is the highest priority of your life and no other person can find out where this message came from.
The standard method used by most coins would require that there are web servers (see above image), “judges” if you will that will be the point of contact between you and your friend. They may pass the message among themselves and or with other individuals until they finally transmit the message to its destination, which will be your friend.

XC approach

The alternative approach to the crowds method is the dual path method. XC has implemented this within its wallet POS feature. This method benefits from the lack of need for a node as each individual is treated independently (see above image). It is fully decentralized and anonymous.

If we were to render the same situation of needing to send a message to a friend using this method instead we would get a completely different scenario.
In this case the request is bounced around independent individuals at random intervals until it has reached you. You would then send your message using the same method although in this case it will follow a completely different path. This means that there is no way of actually telling who the requester or the sender was. There are no nodes or “judges” and each individual will only need to decide the next movement. A complete free form of requesting and sending data.

Its approach to a complete anonymous POS wallet that not only is private but at the same time: its much faster at dealing with network changes, node drops and overall handling of data compared to the crowds approach mentioned above.

XC is also encrypted. And the dev is also working on blockchain v 2.0 later on with encrypted messaging, peer to peer exchange. And to the people spreading lies, the developer is here on linkedin and mentions XC on his page: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dan-metcalf/12/1a8/b82

Thank you for sharing my article!!!

Im glad you guys are starting to understand the real benefit of XC!

Here are some other pointers that may be of help:

Increasing Network Traffic
Dual Path (XC Coin) is approximately 52.5% faster than crowds (normal coins)

Increasing Size of Data
Dual-Path is about 30% to 50% faster than Crowds for increasing the size of sending data.

Increasing size of sending data and network traffic
Dual-Path is faster about 45% to 75%.

Increasing node failure and network traffic
Dual-Path acts better when network traffic increases and nodes are dropped.

More Benefits of XC
IMMUNE TO D/DOS AS THERE IS NO NEED FOR A NODE +1
NO NEED FOR MASTER NODES +1
IMMUNE TO time-to-live attacks as it uses random time intervals for each transmission

The above was done in accordance to the dropping ratio of nodes which was held at 40%.

Cut this shit please. Nothing reeks of failure more than someone needing to bash the competition. You don't see people from bitcointalk going over to litecointalk to tell them why bitcoin is better. If you know why they don't then you should know exactly why you shouldn't be either.

your block count and money supply are wrong - make sure you use the addnode=162.243.109.24 - either in your X11Coin.conf or startup, unless your still syncing.. then let it finish

Can anyone here contact coinmarketcap.com and have them add asterix(*) to XC coin supply

seems they do not add the cryptsy?

anybody send me a link on XC/BTC on cryptsy?

here is the coinmarketcap thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.0

you can leave message here or send “Gliss” a PM

or request here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IZf5cBivam_93zENT_arFFuvWDidHGjWxoTMVmFSoWg/formResponse

It is not necessary, because all the XCs are mined by POW, the rest of them will be mined by POS.

Yes, I have configured those parameters. I just completed the compiling, it's out of sync, and the number of block is increasing.

Being immune to DDoS is huge. That's a big weakness of DRK.

Similarly not requiring master nodes.

I would like to see these having prominent mention in the OP if possible  Cool
