When dev plan to open it?
Huh? Think its referring to the code, so they can copy it and make 1200 shit coins out of it with promises of unicorns pooping skittles. Eventually then.... Eventually

A while even before the really revs are open sourced, might not even happen.

I agree with the above sentiment... although its almost 7/7 I doubt we'll see the new wallet release until this time tomorrow. I'm sure Dan and the rest of the team will want as much time as possible to test everything and make sure its working properly.
In summary, rev 2 release may still be 24 hours or more away, I'm sure someone from the XC team can give us an update tomorrow (its still 7/6 where I live).

Ill take the troll bait. There was a bounty to trace... no one could. There will be a larger one from my understanding very soon... I doubt that one will get claimed either. I am not a troll. I just a trader, and ask two particular questions in light of XC coin trading mid-to-long term perspective: 1. Can anybody confirm or deny, that XC is actually just decentralized coinbase mixer, and as I have read, XC devs focus not only on anonymity, but on other features, embedded plastic card, for example. 2. When does dev actually plan to open the source? Just approx.?

A while even before the really revs are open sourced, might not even happen. I think XC being close source for a while is definitely the right way to go. We don't want 200+ XC clone...

Hi all
Just to let you know that pratico has now sent me his first $500 donation for the paid Rev 2 press release!
You can confirm the payment here: 19G6JSgvGDHeeRwJDuZhpeXUMMiQP2X3oc
I then exchanged it for USD and sent it to the MasterCard that will pay for the release. The transfer fee was 3% and so the resulting amount in USD is $486.87.
I'll use driv3n's $100 donation to cover the outstanding amount (which is what I did for the previous press release). Thanks again Driv3n!
An enormous thanks to pratico for such a substantial contribution toward sending XC moonward.
Hurrah!
Remember that if the community donates a total of $500 for a paid release for Rev 2.5, then pratico will donate ANOTHER $500! We're not too far off the target. By all means, donate $20, or whatever you see fit, and let's put XC into the mainstream. Here's the idea: - buy XC
- have some money left over to donate to XC's PR
- watch the donation make your trade go to the moon

If I can do it, you can too!!! Every little bit helps! Time to give back.... Believe me, it feels great!!! Payment received. Thank you!

When does dev actually plan to open the source? Just approx.? As we said before, xc is becoming a privacy platform based on xcurrency. This isn't just any other crypto, we are bulding an ecosystem if you would like. Most of the revs won't be released for a very long if at all.

This is XC's stance on open source:
XC is committed to the open source model. Open source code is vital for the health and advancement of cryptographic technologies, and it is a privilege to share our technical breakthroughs with a community such as this. We believe that XC's code embodies several world-firsts enabling anonymity that is scalable, mobile-friendly, POS-integrated, and is ultimately a platform upon which a broad range of Blockchain 2.0 technologies will be built. However we have been under severe attack from competing projects. Furthermore people’s faith in altcoins is significantly hindered by clones. Therefore we believe that the ethical way to engage with the community is to make code available on a delayed timeline. This way, the community will still benefit from our work, while we'd reduce the incentive for developers to flood the marketplace with clones that lack a long term future and reduce the trustworthiness of the altcoin phenomenon. XC represents several market-leading innovations, and we are honoured to make these available to the community in the near future.

Sorry for a dumb question, but why is the price rising? It was stable at 10-15k for weeks, why the pump?

In the morning (EST time) we will let the community know the announcement schedule for Rev 2.
Let's not use countdowns that attain an accuracy beyond our means for determining it.

The price increase has been more of a correction than a pump. We'll be headed back up soon, come along for the ride.
