Email just in from BFL that they expect to have the PSU's in for our boards this week and possibly as early as tomorrow.  We paid (ordered) the hoster who is based near BFL for a priority pickup as soon as our device is ready.  So we could be hashing by the end of the week or by next week for sure if everything goes to plan..

Is this confirmed?

Well BFL have stated that they've started shipping June 27th 2012 SC's.  Our first pre-order was made on July 7th 2012.  I don't think there's a massive backlog between July 7th 2012 and June 27th 2012.  Most of the pre-orders before us would have been day one June 23rd pre-orders.  It's the lack of PSU's that is the major problem.  BFL did email me last Tuesday (30th of July) to say they were expecting the new PSU's last week.  This Tuesday will be thirteen months since we made our first BFL pre-order.  For those who want to keep up to date on the situation I suggest you follow this blog - https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/

In other news our day one 400(GH/s)@28nm Jupiter pre-order we recently acquired is still on schedule to ship in September.

Email reply just in from BFL

Quote
Matthew,
Yes we have PSUs. We had a "significant" number of orders of all of our products June 21-26th and once we move off these dates the order dates will change more quickly. You are close to going to production.

Paul

New chips that rival KNC's to look at pre-ordering once we start hashing again - http://www.coindesk.com/cointerras-500-ghash-per-chip-bid-to-change-asic-market/ - it'd have to be a massive boost from KNC's tho to risk a pre-order once the KNC's are shipping next day.

Quote from the end of the article: "Which leaves one important question: Is it better to be best, or to be first?"

I'll answer that one - it's definitely better to be first at this stage in the game. Considering that you can't even order from Cointerra unless you're a volume customer, this is a no go for now. As to what happens after Sept/Oct once KnC is shipping (hopefully) - I don't know. The market is going to get very busy, and yet not all of these companies will execute on time. Some will be delayed and the network hashrate may not rise as fast as expected if this happens.

It's going to be an interesting next 90-180 days.

I Agree it is better to be hashing now than waiting for something that will prob get delayed.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush but if the prize is great enough who dares wins.  I think it'll all depend on how well the KNC's start shipping against the price and performance ratio of these new chips.  Maybe we could do both options if the price performance ratio of the news chips is very appealing.  Only time will tell but I thought it was worth mentioning.  Also once BFL have shipped there backlog I can see them releasing new chips too.

If any of the new KNC investors who are getting their shares in September and October haven't been invited to our management group yet please send me your email.  If there's any other major investors who's not been invited yet please send me your email address also but it'll have to be the one you use for BTCT.CO exchange so I can verify you.

Add to that the "I will lock this thread and only discuss the matter on my shitty venue which nobody uses but at least I can edit what people say if I feel like it" attitude and it sums up pretty much to what bulanula said.

All I'm gonna say is we started to try and just fund raise enough for a half decent GPU.  Then woops a year later the market cap went over £100K.  Where's you and scammer bulanula or you others love now  Kiss

Edit:  Please check the date of the quote if unsure then you've not been around since the start.

I may sound like I'm doing poor/bad business but for the second time I have managed to increase profits
before production has even began.

The new FPGA board should be ready to ship within two weeks  Grin

So all going well the board will be hashing away a week on Friday

The board supplier is just waiting for his final parts to assemble our board which should be recived by the end of the week so hopefully he can ship it next week  Grin

It's very likely board #1 will ship this Monday as the supplier has all the parts he's just assembling the boards and testing them

The board designer has hired one of the core devs from [CENSORED]  to finish off the software side of things and they reckon the software side of things should be completed today (the hardware was completed a few days ago) so it should ship by tomorrow.  So latest delivery will be by next Thursday and earliest of this Monday

Niggles in the software are still being ironed out by a team of software developers (this is probably why they haven't gone public yet [the hardware was completed a week ago]) but I was given a "Priority Mail" tracking code yesterday dated the 12th April and told one day after that item is delivered then our first board will ship.

Quick update board #1 should ship to us by no later than this Wednesday or Thursday at the very latest

Hmm ...

Yeah Death& you were able to make me look stupid with your superior prose to my dyslexia.  But from trying to fundraise less than $2,000 and then hitting a market cap of over £100K a year later do you still think I'm only a charlton at best or worst a scammer.  You've probably blocked me even tho I did learn a lot of my bitcoin politics from you and if your gonna come back and troll me with your prose.  Well I turned a GPU into 1(TH/s) and over £100K so..................!!!

So what is this magic machine you're using ? Any pictures ?

Are you working on any bitcoin software projects as maybe RSM could become a sponsor.  As you showed me indifference and neutrality at a time the pack of old-skool was trying to disrupt my IPO.  While those IPO investors have been able to cash out at over a 100% bitcoin profit from when bitcoins were worth less than £3 each.

Sorry was just having a drunken rant it's explained in another thread but is not that that important to anyone other than me or the investors who have been here since from the winter/spring IPO of 2012.  It was basically a team of trolls trying to stop people investing in the original IPO.  While those that did invest have now had opportunities to cash at above 100% bitcoin profits.  While bitcoins were worth less than £3 each then.  Obviously I've not cashed out as my objective to is to increase my holdings as much as possible and there's still quite a few of the old original investors here.  They just remain silent mostly and usually contact me directly if needed.  I'll be using at least 50% of my dividends to buy back shares.  Like one of my close friends who was very bitcoin sceptical never mind RSM sceptical.  I got him to invest £10 back then and his holding are now worth £355 based on the thirty day traded average price and have been worth well over £500 during the recent bitcoin bubble.  So if both RSM growth and bitcoin prices can continue like they did I'm hoping to see at least similar rises over the next eighteen months.  Tho if we're at 1(TH/s) by October hopefully our value can increase much faster than it previously ever did.  If the first Jupiter is on time in September and BFL doesn't collapse then the prices now are a very good time to buy.  We did go through a two month bubble were prices hit above BTC0.025 and if BFL would have shipped timely we would have maintained that price.  While the original IPO price after the stock split is BTC0.01 and that's from when bitcoins were worth less than £3 each.  So if you believe in bitcoin and our hardware manufactures to produce then hopefully at least similar increases in value can be achieved by RSM in the future.

According to the current BFL SC shipping schedule listed here - https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/ - I'm expecting our first SC to start hashing by early next week.

BFL have now shipped July 3rd 2012 SC's and our first pre-order was made on July 7th 2012.  They're also now taking pre-orders for a new 600(GH/s)@28nm device for $4,680 and for now we still have our 25% discount voucher off our next order (not just device).

so maybe you get bumped up in the queue by having everyone else roll their SC preorders into a 600GH/s device
