For me i will feel confortable using bitcoin when the value is stable and mostly famous online store accepting bitcoin as their payment. Bitcoin is one of the most useful currencies later because it is so easy and efficient to use.
I invest in bitcoin because I want to earn more and more money and will never use my holding. Bitcoin investment in this day is for making money and not for using because there are just few places where you can use your bitcoin. So better to earn money from your holding and be rich in the future. I will use bitcoin when the whole world accepts bitcoin. |

price fluctuations make people use it as an investment rather than using it as a currency. whereas only in a few countries bitcoin can be used as payment at the store, it confuses people where they can use bitcoin to buy something

I think if bitcoin become stable in value and the goverment will build a law that bitcoin will be regulated legally, I think people at this point feel very comfortble using bitcoin cryptocurrency. Because we can use it to buy something we need. |

I think it would happen that's earlier than 2020, because since we are having so much complaining about bitcoin price and negative effect on economy we cannot think about the further development.

it is really very early for that. because transaction speed is very low and fees are so high. maybe they will be better if lightening network goes successful, so we can all feel comfortable spending bitcoins.

For me I can feel comfortable using bitcoin if many countries will accept it, that no one are didn't hate bitcoin and I think it doesn't happen for now because there are many negative thoughts about bitcoin, I hope they will see the good side of bitcoin. |

I think now people are comfortable because now many people have bitcoin. I became more comfortable when I discovered how safe and secure it was. Because your bitcoin security depends on you. I think if bitcoin would be legalized to all countries it would make them more comfortable to use it.

I like as people here are telling that we will do this unless till 2020, so I will answer on that that we will be comfortable using bitcoin on every step that we take in 2020 and not before that if i would be more comfortable using bitcoin if the government has legalized it. so there will be a guarantee of legal protection from my country. for now btc i just make it to get money |

I think people will feel comfortable using bitcoin when they have lots of bitcoins and lots of places can accept bitcoin as a payment so they will be easy to use in all places and bitcoin has a price that will keep going up

I am quite comfortable now already, but I am transfering my BTC in Euro before, lol. I need some 5 minutes, before I will be able to withdraw my BTC to a credit card, and then I can pay in the store.

For me the right time that all people comfortable using bitcoin is when all countries and there goverment accept it as another mode of payment.If there is a news on Tv and in social media that bitcoin is legalized to used.And also the banks also open in crypto currency.But for me i already comportable using it without any guarantee from the goverment.

Yes I feel everyone is still afraid to invest or buy bitcoin. bitcoin no one can control the rise and fall in prices. very risky and I think 2 possibilities if buying bitcoin is a big profit or your money will be lost forever.

I think that people will feel comfortable using bitcoin when they learn what it is as a first step. Most of them think it's an illegal currency used to fund several criminal activities. Media need to start clearing things up about bitcoin to make people understand. Then it should be integrated as a way of payment of simple things like bills or online shopping. Those two steps will make a huge turn in bitcoin history. Number of users will be a lot more and countries that illegalize it would reconcider their desicions.
Using the Bitcoin we have only few issues after entering into the market because all we need is the knowledge and investment money after which decision making is important. We will feel comfortable once we have the knowledge of it which will make us able to handle everything in favorable times. The unstable market is from several years and all we need is to get benefit which is investment in the current market. |

The mass adoption will really happen, the cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular than before. Many businesses are now looking forward to accept and use bitcoins. People in our society wants comfortable transactions and payment system, blockchain technology will solve that problem.

Well for me people would feel comfortable using BTC is when the time comes that majority of the people worlwide adopt and uses bitcoin in the daily transaction that would be the time people would be comfortable using bitcoin.

i guess regular people will be comfortable with using BTC and any other crypto currency when first the government accepts them. they should regulate and protect the future owners of these tokens. next, crypto currencies should be stabilized so that investors would be comfortable with using it in their businesses. lastly, crypto currencies themselves should have more projects so that it could have more uses.

If people know whats good in bitcoin, if they know how to use and secure their bitcoin they will be comfortable in using it, because all people want a safe investment and safe wallet for their money. And more if bitcoin price is high i know they will be more comfortable in using bitcoin.

When will people spend BTC as easily as fiat , not seeing it as an investment opportunity but a better currency for them to use ? Most of my friends that I have currently told about Bitcoin are most intrigued by its rapid rate of growth and not its outstanding features as a currency. They don't really care that it is free from government control , but are more focused on the fact that it has risen xy% I don't really spend much of my Bitcoin , because I am always in fear. I am not talking about cashing out , but for digital goods. How do you spend 10 mBTC on a 5$ digital good when you believe that the same 10mBTC is worth atleast 15$ , probably more. How much of your Bitcoin have you hoarded , and how much have you really spent ?
I am under the impression that people tend to hoard more with BTC than with fiat , considering it an investment more than a currency I don't know how to make a poll here , so :- http://strawpoll.me/1793917This is not referring to your blockchain.info statistic , which includes money you have moved around. I am looking at money you have truly spent vs total amount of BTC you have received. Overall , I'm trying to look at how much my guess is true by the poll and your estimates of when majority of people will start looking at BTC as a currency. EDIT : I'm not sure this is the right section , tell me if this should go in General Discussion or so. There are still people who are afraid to buy and use bitcoin because they thought it was scam. Fake news is one of the reason why many people have wrong information about what is bitcoin. |
