Its too bad because if the dev communicated better and was more involved with the community this could have been avoided.

I have to agree. When a coin has problems in it's young life such as a fork... or two, it really hurts the community. It gives the devs less credibility and makes the investors second guess themselves. That's not something you want with a coin. So far, Cloak has came through on their promises and THAT is what's really helping the coin grow.

Now, if anyone here is in marketing, lets get this coin accepted somewhere! I want to spend it, not just trade it.

The DRK issue is bringing the whales to DRK not CLOAK. I wouldn't be surprised to see CLOAK drop below 40k-50k soon as most of the market's attention is focused on picking up cheap DRK. We should see a rise though possibly later today when the Asian market pick up but more likely on Monday when the market picks back up. Weekends are usually pretty slow for trading. Would be smart to move your cloak out and pick up those cheap DRK - do as the whales do.

The fork didn't actually fail it was pruning and re-indexing which caused a little bit of lag and scared the Evan enough to revert the push. If anything it shows his caution rather than letting the network correct itself - which isn't a flaw imo. This cryptomarket is full of people just looking to make a quick buck meanwhile they have no concept of the work that goes into writing and maintaining a repo.

As far as his communication goes - one cannot be an effective programmer when trying to be a herald at the same time.

Your last sentence is incorrect.  Cloak has been effective at communication and programming without flaw, and it has only been around for roughly 2 weeks.  With a market as big as DRK, there is no room for errors...  It's not excusable at that point in the game...

Yes, you are correct there is no room for errors when there is a market cap of that size. After a month's worth of work and making a push to the repo the last thing on any developers mind is to start making tweets and forum updates.. A good developer will be watching the effects of the push quite closely for any errors or performance issues. It's excusable if a lead dev is focused on repairing the issues rather than making tweets and forum updates - which by the way he did.
