cloak looking like its on the verge ready to explode upwards again soon. Get ready for another ALL TIME HIGH!!!

beware, of an explosion in your pants, man. dont pump to strong hahajajaha

cloak is anon but quiet useless, since when i know the adress of someone who is sending me anon coins even he sends me anon coins i know his adress.

anon is when i dont know the persons name and he dont know mine. like cash. cloak is something like giving cash to someone i know his name and he knows mine.

3rd party anon problem is solved like ALOT of other coins before. we can argue which technical implementation is better. right now i see stil bytecoins monero in favour. waiting also for ethereum to bring blockchain on a next level.

PoSA Rough Draft Cloak 2.1

http://pastebin.com/ArJNmHEq

Edit - I just don't understand the last part; what good is all this cloaking if bobs IP is (apparently) still connected to the PoSA wallets?

That was my question as well, it talks about protecting bob in case richard is a thief, but what if richard is just a spy.  This is a known issue for drk coin, which is why there are 8 middle men, ensuring that the probability of all 8 being controlled by the same entity is low. What if 1/3rd of the cloak network is sitting at the nsa?

So bob shuffles his coins locally removing their origin, but then he sends to richard to send to alice for drugs, and richard narcs on him.

Thanks for the explanation Smiley

Remember this is a just a rough draft, Joe was telling us in the irc chat that this is a very simplified version on how it works. Its not the final version that's why joe asked people in the irc chat to not post it in the thread to avoid a big discussion about it as its not the official whitepaper. People didn't list (you know who posted) and posted it regardless.

Your input is much appreciated, for people calling this FUD well it isn't. Its constructive criticism and beneficial to the development of PoSA. The devs listened to issues that might arise with PoSA from members and found solutions.

@bcmine

Are you referring to Cloaksend 1.0? How would cloak be anon but at the same time useless when you know the address of the sender and the receiver, then its not anon in this case lol.

Exactly, that's why I asked the question. At this moment cloak is the only altcoin I own so I'm not trying to talk it down at all, but when I have questions, potential investors might have the same questions preventing them from actually investing. I am sure that there is a good answer to the question I asked so i would like to get it out into the open.

Your questions are appreciated. In my signature you find every news of the last 5-7 days about Cloak. Also a lot of discussions from the community. I did not post any Fud or fakes which were real fake. There is also a discussion if this coin is a scam, feel free to make your own opinion.

If you have any questions about Cloakcoin please write me a PM or ask the question here. As Alty (Lead Developer) is working on CIARA, not available  till tomorrow I will try to get him tomorrow for a short Q&A Session.  Everyone else is also invited to send me questions, we have already 7-8 questions you can find them in my thread.

For the darkcoin Minions and Trolls... have you ever thought about why your dev don't finishes his pseudo anonymity ?
Just think about if he don't have a finished anonymity yet, means he could dump off his Instamined coins (50% in Theorie)
and get away silently and you would not even know what happen.

I think the "Fork" campaign is just a idea to fool people into believing that they can't achieve anonymity. While selling their Instamine.

Just a rough thought for you little minions.

Thank you for your concerns. However, this is a CLOAK thread. Please keep it on topic. Dev has already asked us this a few times.

Does anybody know if the source on Github is recent/compatible with the current blockchain? Need to compile myself for GNU/Linux, as I don't own a Windows OS.

The volume from Mintpal is all but gone. Interestingly howver Cloak is still the number 1 coin for volume. All coins are down. Bittrex appears to be having a pump n dump scamfest on a few coins. Makes me feel very comfortable holding Cloak because that money will all come back to us once people have had their fun i.e. lost their money.

Nevermind, meant this link:

Update:

Windows wallet 1.9.7.25 with installer.

1.9.7.25 is very much a beta wallet and should be treated as such.

No timeframe has been given. They tried that a while ago, but it blew up in their face. So now they're sticking to "It will be released when it's ready".  Until then, you can enjoy the beta version.

It's always good to learn from past experience. Better testing new features thoroughly, providing a solid product than delivering something unstable. Smiley

Yes, but timeframe also very important, if you will not give within time then people move on to other coins.

nsimmons, please explain to me why you are trying to fud price down when it's already cheap? you can buy from the orderbook.

You are welcome to read my previous posts for your answer. I am not interested in buying anything that hasn't been thoroughly vetted. Trying to time speculative, illiquid markets is too stressful. If the fundamentals are sound, then I can outlast a down trend, just ask my gold. I did get out of silver a week before the 2011 crash, but that was just luck. But if the fundamentals are not strong, my investment quite readily can go to zero. Bitcoin is volatile enough.

Hype is hype. I watched the dotcom bubble, I watched AOL buy Time Warner and thought who the fuck uses AOL. I'm not looking to make 700% by next week.

fucking AOL, i had to phone long distance to use that shit in 96, because our town didn't have an isp. You know how long it took me to download nt 4.0 on a 14.4 modem.

Took me a week to download netscape browser... da good 'ol days...9600 baud

I'm wondering how many people really hold more than 1k cloak, I bet a lot have them split in at least 2 wallets.
