I helped Gnu_User test the BlackCoin multipool right after Radioactive had his meltdown in IRC.

my advice?

not worth it, not unless there's insane amounts of interest and hashing power.

I'd recommend going with a 3rd party like coinking, if they can set you up for cheaper than what you'd pay to build your own, it'd be worthwhile to gauge interest.

if it takes off, then build your own and move people there, again that's super risky.

The issue with the blackcoin pool was it going down occasionally for upgrades and maintenance. miners don't give 2 flying fucks about features and a better interface.

They care about it working, getting consistent payouts, and never going down.

BlackCoinPool had almost 20 GH scrypt at one point, then they decided to take it down for a few days to apply changes, and it was 5 GH, then people see others leaving, then they leave, it's a downward spiral.

IMO, whatever you guys go with, just make sure that it works and will never go down, multipools can grow and grow and grow, people feed off of every new user coming on, the moment they all get disconnected, it'll never be the same.

well said, my vote is we all start promoting coinking with cloak payouts.  coinking pays very very well too.  rivals nicehash

I m using coinking for a week now to mine X11 and X13 coins, so far payments and convertion to cloak is really good. You can also set email alerts when the mined coins are gone to the exchange and when cloak comes back.

Note that not all coins can be converted to Cloak, so i have some converted to DRK.

i suggest giving it a few days. i tried it once for 24hrs and was annoyed because the transactions seem to be taking forever but when i gave it a few days everything worked out and i got a really good cloak payouts.

imo multipool is not worth it, except you have 10 - 20 ghash mining at the pool. Better use existing structures.

The key to be successful is to have a good BTC profitability (we don't have any pairs <altcoin>/CLOAK) there's always a detour via BTC.

I don't understand why everyone supports the greedy PayPal. There are much better alternatives e.g. Skrill ....

i have been buying all the small orders i can over on cryptsy when posa comes out this coin could test the .01 waters for the first time.

My target is 0.07 for all planned releases going relatively smoothly. Will re-evaluate along the way

0.07 or 0.007?

TOO MUCH TALKING ABOUT PRICE.

VERY HIGH OR SUPER MEGA VERY HIGH etc.

I don't like it. Often when there's too much talking about that, coin is not going so high;/

its a good questions but i bought a $150 in doge from them a while back when doge bottomed out and it went without a hitch.  i have recently also bought reddcoin at the wesellredd.com when redd was climbing recently.  all through my paypal credit account.

No need for screaming.

Also, talk about price happens in the threads of every single coin, including the ones that go to the moon.

But not like "0.07 or 0.007?" when price is 0.0024.. maybe 0.7 btc LOL

I just don't like too much hype by talking about super high prices, because usually it burns coin.
