Wait, no source, no wallet, no 3rd party reputable pools - how do we know that we're mining MIN and not another X11 coin with 1 100% pool fee?

you will be able to withdraw your Minerals to bittrex. We are negotiating with em to add MIN-BTC market from block 1

+1 - I'd even go as far and not even start the coin if you can't get this arranged with Bittrex in time.

These are my propositions.... Wink

Love that one.

Just read the whole ANN. I must say i'm intrigued, if you guys are for real and this is not the next kind of scam in the cryptoworld this could be a very interesting coin to watch. Congratz on a cool & new idea for mining and circumventing the multipool dumps.

Big farms/ASICs?
Hashing power of each worker and IP will be limited to not more than 300MH (open for discussion) by limiting the number of shares that a worker can send to the pool per unit of time.

How do you achieve all of this?
The only way to avoid Miltipools, ASICs, big farms and third-party pools is by not providing the wallet and the source code until after the POW stage ends. The source code will be provided to exchanges which will be operational from the start. Moreover, to remove any doubt about the validity of the coin and it's source code third-party experts will be given the sorce code for validation and checks. The wallets might be provided before the end of the POW stage.

haha it's not the only way but im interested and happy to see this method tested in the wild. it was one of my earlier considerations which id since improved. you see limiting the hash will limit how secure your blocks can be and doesnt take full benefit from the asics but instead fends them off. however, this coins should still enjoy some success as the distribution method will create more fairness than what is currently available.

if anyone is wondering what the hell im talking about. i made a post here earlier requesting a dev for my project. it is a bit ways ahead in thinking than this method. with improvements that will take advantage of asic technology without cheating low hashrates out of a share. allowing the network to grow in security with growing hashpower technology.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=611996.0

if there is any interest please dont be afraid to pop me a line.

EDIT: also 300mh will be too high. it will allow full 100-300mh asics running on 400watts power to still perform their pillage.

Just over 10 hours until launch. When are the pools going live?  The coin launches in the middle of the night my time and I would like to be able to have everything set up beforehand.  Also have you figured out a way to evenly distribute the hash?  Or are you just hoping that not everyone clicks on the first pool link?

I personally think 50 mh/s is a BIT too low.. 100 mh/s seems fair. My home grown mining operation already has 40 mh/s or so on x11/x13

id say 50mh is fair both to gpu, farms and asics calculating based on power consumption and profit margins. the asics will still have the advantage as their profit margin will be 50:1 while farms can only hope for a maximum of 5:1. heck if u really want to limit asics id go with 10mh. that way gpu farms will also have to do a little work splitting up their network, asics wont be able to take 90% of market share.. and gpu coins will still enjoy at least a 1:1 mining roi.

either way as we can see.. user votes for an even lower hashlimit far outnumber asic voters. for all we know it could be just 10 ppl with asic farms that have raped all of crypto.

if its not an asic farm.. just partition your mining rigs with new accounts.

I think there is some confusion.(Poll only for max hash rate per worker not for both worker and IP)

Dev can you please clarify -Hashing power of each worker= 50 Mh/s(according to poll), and
-Hashing power of each IP = 300Mh/s

                                                            Or,

Hashing power of both IP and worker will be limited to 50 Mh/s

Which one ?
