why the current block = 20 in scv pool?

Quote from: Minerals
There has been one change in reward schedule - first 100 blocks will have 1 coin reward and not 150. Also, first 20 blocks, i.e. 20 MIN have been already mined - this is due to some problems with stratum pool mining from block 1, i.e. blocks found by the pool are orphaned if block height is less than 20 (I believe this is X11 coin issue). We've decided to go around this by solo-mining first 20 blocks. These 20 MIN will be given to the next poster in this thread after I post this.

Multipools problem?
There will be no multipools as all pools are operated by us - no dumping of coins and no messing up with the network difficulty.

Solo mining?
In order to avoid potential ASICs and big farms from dominating the coin network there will be no solo mining.

Big farms/ASICs?
Hashing power of each worker and IP will be limited to not more than 50 MH/s (see the poll) by limiting the number of shares that a worker can send to the pool per unit of time.

How do you achieve all of this?
The only way to avoid Miltipools, ASICs, big farms and third-party pools is by not providing the wallet and the source code until after the POW stage ends. The source code will be provided to exchanges which will be operational from the start. Moreover, to remove any doubt about the validity of the coin and it's source code third-party experts will be given the sorce code for validation and checks. The wallets might be provided before the end of the POW stage.

How to receive mined coins?
You can use the exchange or keep your coins in our pools until the wallets are provided.

Solo mining is how many people survive in crypto. ASICS? It's X11, get real. Multipools? If your coin cant survive multipools it fails anyways. A lot of successful coins have released and were mined hard by multipools. Hashpower HELPS your coin.

Good luck with your coin, but I'll definitely not be mining it.

without standard pools i'm out.

too much scams around to trust that kind of launch; too bad; i'm a heavy starcraft player.

good luck anyway

why would you need standard pools? You will lose more than you will benefit if the coin source released during POW stage. Asics will flood in, big farms and rentals will flood in and dump coins right away. Average miner gets nothing. Not to mention pools that charge you up to 2% fee for nothing on top of the premine that is needed for coin promotions. Why all coins are crap now? Because of unfair distribution. Distribution of Minerals going to be fair. We are setting up abe block explorer to be totally transparent from the start

You think these pools have DDOS protection? Think again.

We charge 2% because we are a premium pool where shit just works.

We'll see on launch :p

Yes we will see, we have put a lot of time into the coin, so how about you show us some appreciation and support, heck, you could even make a buck or two?

why the current block = 20 in scv pool?

The post above me explains perfectly.

Solo mining is how many people survive in crypto. ASICS? It's X11, get real. Multipools? If your coin cant survive multipools it fails anyways. A lot of successful coins have released and were mined hard by multipools. Hashpower HELPS your coin.

Thank's for stopping by mate!

We apologise deeply for the delays, we should of allocated more time to get things squeaky clean, but we felt the need to hold back the launch and make sure everything was running on all four cylinders, get yourself ready because I can tell you we have some exciting thing's to announce within the next few weeks.

Wallet's are available on the website and in this post, I cannot currently edit the OP so that's going to have to wait, Linux and Mac are not just ready, I woke up super early to get that all sorted.

Sorry, not supporting privatization of crypto coins.  Crypto is supposed to be open source.

I'd be astonished if any exchange actually hosts this for you.  Nobody is going to encourage private sources and pools, no wallets, etc.

This is not crypto at this point, you will be no better than Microsoft or Paypal.

Didn't you think this was going to cause some backlash?  People don't want privatization, they want public sources and open source.  You are going backwards, not forwards.

I think it's an interesting experiment to see what happens when hash rate is limited. Would it be better if it was open? Sure. At the moment though it's a simple way to try this out and if it is successful then maybe it will pave the way for more open ways to do the same thing. Good luck with the launch.

All this Crypto-thing is a big experiment, i think this guy tries to do an inovation, Multipools have hurt a lot of good proyects and cause centralization, and if you read the announcement the source code will be relesed once the PoW stage is done

I'm in!!!

All this hate from various multipool owners/admins just makes me lol.

Anyway, it's a good experiment nontheless.

@OP, I hope you guys are ready to get DDoS'd. It seems like some pools here will attempt it.

we should expect gasocoin in the future  Cheesy

this coin is 100% against cryptocurrency philosophy main point, DECENTRALIZED, NO ONE SHOULD MINE THIS, and no exchange should host this shitcoin!

there is no others way to limit the hash, you understand this right?

if you give the source to whales they can just rewrite the code and remove the limit, and starting a longest chain, and our smaller chain will be fucked

funny because BTC mining is even more centralized, a pool is controlling 43% lmao

bitcoin = shitcoin?

So the new scam of the week is private sources and pools so devs can control, not just 1% of the coins, but 100% of the coins.  Nice.

Sorry, not going to work.  Already contacted exchanges and gave them the heads up.

Nobody is going to host this coin on a major exchange.

If you mine this coin you are killing crypto.  And in fact, since you won't be able to trade it, you're just wasting electricity.

+1

see :

We want to use this coin like a community, something different, something we can control, distribute and actually make a use for it, every coin I see people's main priority of the coin is to make a quick buck, asides from that we want to create something good, something that will last..

Please expand on what you mean by "Decentralization" and "Open Source", because it's clear you have not read past the OP..

decentralization means that coin author is NOT controlling the coin; which is directly linked to hashrate (and don't give me the bitcoin=shitcoin argument; satoshi is not hosting the big pool as far as I know)

and open source means... open (like OPEN) and source (like source) which is not the case.
