Quark is Quark and not a clone of XPM

Someone asked me this question yesterday.... and i realised they were correct. There have been no clones of xpm since it was released?  why is that?

Or are there some?

My guess would be no one can figure out how to create the genesis block?

This post sums up why all this bullshit is a scam

I'm not asking for clones, just wondered why nobody had cloned it as yet.

DataCoin (DTC) is a clone of Primecoin. You can save data in the blockchain!

actually, yes you are correct. Thanks i had forgotten datacoin was based on xpm. I wonder why that coin has died out? was there not a 3rd part making some software making it easy to save data onto the blockchain. Then again i guess a huge blockchain is not for everyone.

A clone was planned. Riemann coin or something spelled similarly. I can't remember if it ever launched.

My perception is that nobody really cares or thinks to make money with XPM. So, no clones to make more money.

It's called Riecoin, it launched 4 months ago

Or are there some?

There are four that I'm aware of:

And Riecoin is a modified clone of PrimeCoin, it uses prime constellations for PoW:

I think QRK is a clone

NO.
Quark was first of its kind and about as far away from XPM as possible.
Securecoin was the first clone of quark.

Not to get too far off topic but there wasn't a lot of quark clones either, right? I can think of just frozen and offerings...

Nobody makes them because nobody knows how to make pools for Primecoin clones. With the exception of a handful of developers.

Riecoin is not a modified clone of primecoin. It is a direct fork of bitcoin and it has nothing to do with primecoin. I think it is much better.
And yes there are not many forks, probably because of the lack of open source pool backends

datacoin cloned primecoin

i think people are reluctant to clone something few have a good handle on 'instamining' or using for pump and dump purposes.

Someone asked me this question yesterday.... and i realised they were correct. There have been no clones of xpm since it was released?  why is that?

Or are there some?

riecoin to my understanding was in development before primecoin and is not a clone

compare the source code you will find them quite different

A clone was planned. Riemann coin or something spelled similarly. I can't remember if it ever launched.
