My latest site... please check it out... http://bitcointoss.com

Once you make a payment, you can play almost immediately on 0/unconfirmed, then only if you win do you need to wait for the full confirmation before receiving your payout.

Refer and get 1% of your referral's bets.

p.s. I had this site in mind when I did up the 'carrot coin' a couple of days ago... it's the 'losing' side of a bitcoin.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Ah I was going to ask if it was weighted in the house's favor, but it is... ever so slightly. I'll probably do some martingaleing later to check it out Wink

If you're taking a 1% edge, but paying that edge out to referrers, how do referrals benefit you?

Edit: I'm dumb and it's a 2% edge. Still cool.

Lost 10 times in a row. That's not very likely, so I'm not sure how fair this is.

That's not good. I'm 3 losses for 3 tries. Have you won at all?

I won on my fifth game. So it isn't 0% at least.

One last game on my final 0.01 BTC... Whoops, lost. Surely this must be much lower than a 48-49% chance to win.

0.40^11 0.49^11 (edit: corrected the typo) = about 0.039% chance to lose 11 times in a row.
Did you try to set the doubled amount on every bet?

Nope, just random values each time. I messed up because I accidentally bet 150 instead of 15 my first try and stupidly try to win some back. :/

I also lost lots of times in a row at an other flip-a-coin like game (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3862.0), it could even be the some guy with a new forum account (just a thougt of me, don't take this as a fact). Personally, I'm done with gambling at sites which don't give me PROVE that they don't rip me off.

Btw, my calculation was wrong, the chance is 0.51^11 = about 0.06%

Lol, gambling. The odds are always in the house's favor.

The psychology is really well known too, and is demonstrated in this thread. I'll just have one more try. I'm going to win sooner or later. And that person won, so it is possible!

But even if you win 48% of the time, that's still less than half, so the more you play, the more you are likely to loose.

Learn poker and go and play that. At least, if you are good, you have more than a 50% chance of winning.

Woah there, slow down!

If noone else 'claims' such a loss, I'll send you back 240...

GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY!

For what it's worth, the site uses random.org to get a number between 1 and 100 inclusive:

Code:
$ch = curl_init('http://www.random.org/integers/?num=1&min=1&max=100&col=1&base=10&format=plain&rnd=new');
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1) ;
$randnum = trim(curl_exec($ch));

if ($randnum>51) {
add_to_log('Player WINS');
$result='bitcoin';
} else {
add_to_log('Player LOSES');
$result='carrot';
}

Anyway thanks for playing... it was a royal pain getting it all to work.

Were you ID 2?

That user looks like it's just hit refresh over and over again instead of starting each game from the start, which surely doesn't count as 10 losses in a row.
