http://kippo.eu has been quite nicely stable after the pool moved to a new server. My (very minor) changes to the the I/O -settings and the code of the daemon process might have something to do with it, or it might be due to the developers's improvements on the code. Hard to say with the code changing all the time, but stability is always nice nonetheless.

Hi guys, i installed a new monero mining pool on strong ddos protected hardware. The pool is already online and will run with 0% fees for at least 1 week. Check it out: http://monero.crypto-projects.com/

Join pool http://hashinvest.netI just added 443 Low Diff. Port so people can mine from their office workstations and beat corporate firewall. "We're not just miners, we're investment miners. We didn't pool-hopping, we went to HashInvest.net, and we saw you coming a mile away."

The Advanced Payment System is going forward on monero.crypto-pool.frThere is now an automatic restart of the wallet so the payment will not get stuck again. The exclusive feature History of Payments is done. You can track all the payments you've received from the pool !! We also added an automatic restart of the wallet so the payments doesn't get stuck + we opened new special ports to go though Firewall ( 80, 443, 8080). Happy mining !

Blocks can be found, and my balance has not changed! I am mining XMR QCN (PPLNS) & FCN BCN (PPS). Problems started yesterday Coins are not charged If coin are not updated it could be the block count from the wallet process (bitmonerod for XMR) that is not updated. In other words you are mining for nothing. We solved that issue on monero.crypto-pool.fr by balancing traffic between multiple instances of bitmonerod process and restarting the ones that have a block count stuck.

Came to see what people were saying about mining (software). All I see here are posts about pools... Maybe I misunderstood the OP/title.

+1 The constant adverstising/bumping (advertising != important announcements) of pools is extremely annoying. It's the same even in the main monero thread. If you have a suggestion to make them behave, let us know.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

People talk about pool here because some pool didn't create a separate thread. For the software you can go here : (sorry for the copy paste but it has all the links you need). MINE WITH CPUCheck the Wolf's CPUMiner thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the CPU miner. Download and extract the miner files somewhere. I recommend having all the monero files in the same folder. Create a batch file or a command line to use in command prompt. MINE WITH GPUCheck the Claymore GPU Miner thread for the latest updates and ask specific questions about the ATI GPU miner. Check the tsiv ccminer-cryptonight GIT for the latest release of the NVIDIA miner. The general ccMiner thread for questions is here. Download and extract the miner files somewhere. I recommend having all the monero files in the same folder. Create a batch file or a command line to use in command prompt. OPEN SOURCE GPU MINER (in dev)https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671784.0;allIf you have any questions, don't hesitate. You also have IRC #monero where people answer your questions any time.

This is a huge gap! The only reason I see is that it is a comlpetely new setup, and requires some efforts for people that have been mining clones of clones of clones since many months. All things that can be overcome reasonably quickly anyway. Enourmous set of potential miners just outside the door...

Is anyone using or has used the Amazon AWS free trial (or any other VPS free trial except Microsoft Azure) to mine Monero? I'm a complete newbie regarding all the technical stuff so I already had lots of trouble setting up the blockchain/wallet yesterday after buying my first XMR. So if you have used it could you please help me with a short step by step tutorial on which instance to choose on AWS, how to point the miner to a pool etc. Thanks!
