Hello!  What price do you expect closer to the events?

I expect that the price will rise a little bit by the beginning of December. I think those who want Symbol tokens have already bought enough XEM. With the snapshot coming closer, there will still be speculators that will still get in, but I no longer expect a larger increase. After the snapshot, I expect the XEM price to implode.

This postponed airdrop of XYM makes maybe one more time bad PR for NEM, but i hope still that waiting will pay off,

Yep some people names this action airdrop, but it's not for free, as we know. Of course XEM prise must implode after snapshot (or even few days before, just like it was with NXT story), but before depending on market circumctances (and pumping groups activity) price can spike just like described in the card of 8 wands. See this picture one more time, it shows skyrocketing price action:D

After the snapshot we have XYM, its very hard to predict how high will be open and close of the first day of trading, but for XYM should be high, and very volatile (even incredibly volatile).

And i think that many more people will collect now XEMs for expected XYMs, but price is not so attractive like it was few months ago. Those who buy first, will sell with higher reward ratio, thats all:D

And what says tarot? I drew another one card for XYM with longer perspective much beyond the snapshot (energy for whole 2021 year) and this is the answer:



So dont expect that high price for XYM will last long, this two cards (8 wands and 10 swords) say that it will be only very common for cryptomarket pump&dump scheme. After high start XYMs price will fall similar to XEMs freefal from around 2$ to few cents. That will be very sad, but it's only "rinse and repeat pattern", many should be familiar with that pattern and behaviour of cryptomarket.

For XYMs future beyond 2021 i drew much better card:



Hard work should pay off, but it will be really haaard work with long waiting for the fruits.

I think XEM price will spike towards the snapshot date, then I expect a drop in XEM price.  On XYM release I speculate there will be some selling so price will drop, I predict it will be a steady decline, with good buying opportunities at the bottoms. 
However, with a bullish BTC market and general crypto bullishness throughout 2021 it's hard to predict which way it will go. Generally  I still think we're in the early stages of a bull market, and there's much bigger BTC price rises to come, which will carry the rest of the crypto market along with it.

Yes, anything else would be a disappointment! Symbol includes all of the technology that we have been waiting for years to be implemented in XEM and which also was the reason why XEM has been ranked pretty stable on CMC (always somewhere between rank 15-30) for years. In my opinion, they have also done a lot more right in marketing with Symbol than with XEM. But we have to wait and see.

Didn't know the service so far. But in principle it seems to be a kind of copy of changelly.com, at least at first glance I can't see much difference. Since I've been using Changelly for a long time and am satisfied, I would not use this short-term offer to use a provider I don't know. Also since it is only worthwhile if you buy really large amout, otherwise you tend to save peanuts.

Already for myself, I have formed a certain assessment of the project ... For now, I will pause for now - there is no clear plan on the side of the developers yet, there are ideas. I will wait for now, wait for the time when there will be a clearer "picture" of the project

I'm extremely excited about the symbol launch! We've all been waiting for a long time, but I still think it's better to release a great product later then a mediocre product earlier. Also, the timing will coincide perfectly with the next bull phase, which will massively help adoption and influx of new people.

Does somebody know, why Bittrex has - for almost two days - (XEM) "Wallet Disabled - performing routine maintenance" (together for withdraws and deposits) ? Could it be related to XYM implementation ?

I noticed the Bittrex wallet maintenance as well since Nov 28.  Their FAQs suggest blockchain upgrades are one of the main reasons this happens. https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000233911-What-does-it-mean-when-a-wallet-is-in-maintenance-  They will need to upgrade their xem wallet, so let's hope they get around to it soon.  Usually wallets will be frozen like this for a while.  I just hope they are preparing to announce opt in support!

Really since Nov 28? Jeez, this is almost one week - which is incredibly long delay (and unfortunately it still persists). Maybe some troubles with XYM implementation (if that's the case) ? Isn't somebody from NEM/Symbol dev team in touch with Bittrex (more generally with all exchanges, these are trying to implement XYM support) ?

In any case I hope this maintenance will not last until launch of XYM will be ready (which will not be earlier than Jan 14) ...
