great news which exchanges support the snapshot symbol today and which exchanges are announcing it soon. https://nemplatform.com/symbol-migration/#exchanges
I am not a professional trader, but I think that XEM has every opportunity to show us the price of $1

Okay, now launch of the new token is confirmed. But what is about the snapshot? Any news on this? E.g. whether the period is narrowed down further? The price rises continuously, then the snapshot can no longer be far away  Cheesy

I'm extremely excited about the symbol launch! We've all been waiting for a long time, but I still think it's better to release a great product later then a mediocre product earlier. Also, the timing will coincide perfectly with the next bull phase, which will massively help adoption and influx of new people.

Does somebody know, why Bittrex has - for almost two days - (XEM) "Wallet Disabled - performing routine maintenance" (together for withdraws and deposits) ? Could it be related to XYM implementation ?

I noticed the Bittrex wallet maintenance as well since Nov 28.  Their FAQs suggest blockchain upgrades are one of the main reasons this happens. https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000233911-What-does-it-mean-when-a-wallet-is-in-maintenance-  They will need to upgrade their xem wallet, so let's hope they get around to it soon.  Usually wallets will be frozen like this for a while.  I just hope they are preparing to announce opt in support!

Really since Nov 28? Jeez, this is almost one week - which is incredibly long delay (and unfortunately it still persists). Maybe some troubles with XYM implementation (if that's the case) ? Isn't somebody from NEM/Symbol dev team in touch with Bittrex (more generally with all exchanges, these are trying to implement XYM support) ?

In any case I hope this maintenance will not last until launch of XYM will be ready (which will not be earlier than Jan 14) ...

Thanks, but this is the launch date not the snapshot date or snapshot time period.

Okay, if Binance suspends withdrawals and deposits starting on 14th January, everyone who has not send the tokens to the exchange before will not be able anymore to sell. Strange action by Binance, as it was said that NEM should still exist next to Symbol project.

My tarok price prediction for XEM and XYM as of energies for now says that:

XEMBTC price short before snapshot should be up to 6000+sat

XYMBTC price in case of daily close in debut day should be around 10000sat

XYMBTC close price one day after snapshot should be around 2500sat

(at this time, before and after NEMs snapshot BTC price should be around 20000USD, but unstable and volatile)

I am curious if this prediction (i know that this method looks strange, but it works in my life) can be really true. I know that energies change every day and we have one more month of waiting, but for now my method show the above possibilities for XEM and XYM pricing.

Hmmm Binance. Chinese? I try to avoid chinese exchanges, no matter how big they are Cheesy

But it's always hard to find really good and secure exchanges. Diversity is the key. I use Poloniex, Bittrex and Zaif (but with caution).

XEM deposits and withdrawals will be suspended starting from 2021/01/14 04:00 AM (UTC).
We will take a snapshot of XEM tokens held by Binance users at the above time, and will distribute XYM tokens at a ratio of 1 XEM = 1 XYM.
Deposits and withdrawals will be reopened after the snapshot has been completed.
Please note that trading of XEM will not be affected during the airdrop.

This confuses me. They are stating that they will take a snapshot @ 04.00AM UTC. This doesn't match the official snapshot time of ~ 11.00am UTC or more specifically block 3025200.

Ps. If you have a limit order open, are you included in the snapshot?
They say "XEM balance under 100 XEM (including those in trade orders) will not be eligible for the airdrop.". Does it mean trade orders under 100 XEM or all trade orders?

Have those exchanges the support for NEM -> Symbol ?
i.e. if having XEMs in the exchange's account, will one get XYMs to exchange account?

[/quote]

For now there is lack of information. Huge chances that Zaif will have this support, must be observed, for now Zaif is in group "have announced Opt-in but not yet distribution"

https://symbolplatform.com/xym/#

In case of Poloniex and Bittrex we must wait for theirs anouncments. I think NEM team should be in contact with them too.

As per the announcement on the NEM forums:

"The team have approached all the major exchanges who list XEM currently and provided information and offered to answer any questions etc related to integration of XYM and supporting the Opt In for their customers."

NEM team has reached out. Reaching out the exchanges yourself can help in showing how much users want it.

yes...  tho the exchanges do know how much there is XEMs in customers' accounts and how many customers have XEMs.
