ICO price of XEM is not a benchmark because while NEM ICO was conducted there was not much attention in ICOs as nowadays. So you can not compare it to competitors like Ethereum, Waves, Lisk etc. It will go back to 500 sats. Still much more expensive than ico price, I think then it is a good time to buy
Additionally at ICO Time NEM was planned as a nxt Clone. It was decided to completely rewrite after ICO. And we had to wait a long time for the first Version. But the devs are doing great! And additionally, NEM's ICO price was aimed not for a profit but for a wide distribution. This made the NEM price low from the launching time. If NEM ICO was expensive like other coins, present NEM price would be much higher than now. Thank for it. You can buy NEM cheaply even if you are a late comer.

@DIMKAZDS: meaning you can't vote? Voting is just sending a transfer transaction with a message saying "yes" or "no".

Seems to be quite a bump in nem trading activity over the last couple of days. Price has risen a bit, but I was never much concerned about price, the volume is what is making me happy. We've been at over 500k in volume the last 2 days, which is outstanding, shows that there is interest and people are actively buying and selling, which can only be good for the future of the coin, if some of these new developments come to light down the road.
It's a pretty hefty jump from the lull of the last few weeks, we had been hovering around 100k volume and losing marketcap. Nem actually gained about 6 mil in marketcap the last 2 days. I'm hoping this coin stays in the forefront and on people's minds in the coming months and is able to rebound big time off a new announcement and maybe get the kickstart it needs to go mainstream.

I agree, we are getting plenty of attention (in the right areas) and a good amount of XEM is changing hands each day, hopefully more newcomers will continue to buy, as IMO this is the most attractive (and fair) opportunity in crypto currently. I dont see any viable alternatives and Ethereum is in a mess, even if ETC surpasses ETH, its still not perfect.

Today not but new concept new ponzi 1/100 will be brillant and hyped. Nem need all time move forward catapult itself is great idea i was never fan of java. IMO many people were skipping nem because of java and it seciurity issues.

Catapult CPP development status, nothing short of being impressive: A great pile of code indeed... Work has been done but the quality based on those numbers could be better (blank, comment / code) ;-) Static analysis tools may give some "guidelines" to the coding, unless the devs are so familiar with C++ and so Pro that codelines are self-commenting :-) Or the code has been really stress-tested.

Ironically, Devs are all Cpp experts. Java was something new for them and they delivered. So, we expect catapult to be something so easy for them to do.

Java NEM was warming up, C++ is the real deal? I hope that with the Catapult will be lower requirements for the hardware. I think NEM devs are best devs in the entire blockchain scene so I am sure eventually they'll make things as userfriendly as possible, both for individuals as well as for (fintech)companies, perhaps even for banks.
