Then this guy is not an average 3rd world inhabitant when he is able to run six supernodes with at least 3,000,000 XEM (around 18,000 USD) each. Or 108k USD in total.
He was rich before and now he found a way to fund a living without acutal work.

i know a guy who lives in a 3rd world country that runs 6 supernodes.
He quit his job 2 months ago and is now living off the rewards generated by the 6 nodes.

The guy is most probably a sockmaster.  Even at the lowest prices in 2015, and not many people get to buy in at the very bottom, we're talking at least $4,000 USD for all that NEM - more likely $8,000.  Educated professionals in western countries usually don't have $5,000+ in their chequing account and yet we are to believe some 'poor' guy in the third world did and YOLO'ed his savings on NEM.  Cheesy

at least he didn't dump ... I expect there are quite a few NEM puppet masters feeling ecstatic the last 2 months. If they run a few supernodes that's good.

You need to replace these 4 files which are in the nis subfolder(delete 4 files which ends with 0.6.77-BETA and paste new ones that ends with 0.6.79-BETA):

nem-core-0.6.79-BETA.jar,
nem-deploy-0.6.79-BETA.jar,
nem-infrastructure-server-0.6.79-BETA.jar,
nem-peer-0.6.79-BETA.jar.

NEM is stable.  If you recall from 2015 and other times, NEM was always very good at remaining stable.  I suspect this stability is the result of a lack of inflation, wide distribution and especially a large group of believers.

Market projection?  Steem has been dropping for awhile.  Monero pump, if the capitalization is sustained, will probably send Dash downwards.  I think we can reasonably expect NEM to move up to position #7, possibly #6, so long as NEM remains stable and historically it has done a good job at that.

Future market rallies?  I think future market rallies will come from more news and updates from Japan and, this may surprise people, especially Malaysia.  My critical opinion is the developments in Malaysia are very exciting and as important as NEM efforts in Japan.  I think with a couple of big updates, and community organization in Malaysia, NEM could achieve viral adoption in the country.   At the present time, the plurality of traffic to NEM IO seems to be from Malaysia. . .

Yes. I agree with your statement that Dash will go down if market cap of XMR is sustained. It will make some Dash holders switch to XMR because it would show that XMR has chosen the better option in being an anonymous coin. I did not realize the concept of ring signatures were created back in 2001. It was wise of the development team of Monero to utilize it in their cryptocoin.

I would also reasonably expect NEM to get to top 5 if it starts to go up again and also considering that Steem continues its fall.

...ring signatures were created back in 2001. It was wise of the development team of Monero to utilize it in their cryptocoin.

I would also reasonably expect NEM to get to top 5 if it starts to go up again and also considering that Steem continues its fall.

It was not like that 1st coin writen was bytecoin but devs mined/or premined 90% supply then comes XMR with they fresh "more fair" distrybution.
XMR just crtl+C Ctrl+V code mostly. But XMR is more distribiuted right now and more popular.
Ring signatures are more private than Dash. (But that  doesn't mean DASH is on lost possition they can chane  allmost everything if they really need)

What is good in NEM is that it lives outside crypto REAL companies are working with mijin and tenchnology is evolving into REAL companies needs than our coinmarket cap pump/dump needs Cheesy... Anon, smart contracts, decentralized markets, sharing,VPNs and stuff like that.
Real aplication use can be really god becouse that requires changes that NEM really needes to be on top. Companies are evolving all time so prabably NEM with their protocol will be the same. It won' be coin where something is setuped once for all time.
Very importand for DEVs of Nem in proper monetalize their project to be able live from support of it or from supporting good mijin chain at end of day some solution can be easier ported into NEM.
Abut beeing in top 5 there will be much more projects in future that can no. 1  all current 5 can go down while we will have lets say 500 bilion market cap where NEM will be just 10bilion one on 20th possition point is to be live as competive technology to that time.
