Yes i completley agree.
Its only a matter of time before people realise that smart contracts on the blockchain is a bad idea.
Ethereum cant afford to see another DAO style "hack" but its inevitable that it will happen again.
Their solution was only to hard fork the blockchain and dissolve the DAO funds back to all the investors.
Thats not a "solution" its only a cowardly way to walk away from the problem that is still there.
NEM has the answer, but too many investors who put all their $$$ into ETH dont want to think there is another way.
Sadly alot will learn the hard way.

World class and bleeding edge in Blockchain technology design. Most promising indeed! Most blockchains still have a single-tiered network where the wallet and server are one in the same at the core level. The original NEM architecture was one of the first to efficiently design and utilize a two-tiered network, and now Catapult is the first ever announced network using three. As Jaguar, the lead dev working on Catapult told me, older blockchains scale linearly, one server serves only a certain amount of clients. The new Catapult system scales exponentially as one server can feed into many API servers and the those in turn feed into many clients. This is what the blockchain should have been in the first place. Satoshi was a visionary legalist, philosopher, and economist, not so much a great network designer or coder and Bitcoin and other 1.0 chains have been dealing with problems ever since. Expect Catapult to have the most advanced and easiest to use APIs of any blockchain. This will make us an attractive option for 3rd parties to build on. Scales exponentially! It sounds like the devs are building a brain. Neuron network activity scales exponentially with synapse density. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19104141"These results suggest that the brain's information processing capability gains more from increasing connectivity of the processing units than increasing processing units, much as Internet information flow increases much faster than the linear number of nodes and connections." Maybe one day the NEM ecosystem will become self-aware. NEM is leading the way in blockchain technology, while others are still trying to figure it out. https://scalingbitcoin.org/milan2016/Microsoft also has a project called Catapult. This is low indeed. I guess a lot of capital is swapping over to some ICOs which are conducted at the moment. Also, Bitcoin shows relative strength compared to altcoins. As the experience from the past shows, this is only a temporary happening. I am convinced that the volume of XEM trading will increase again. xem 24h volume 14 btc

Humongous variations in volume seem to be a recurring characteristic. It was 300 and something in the previous period on Poloniex. Mainly for the pleasure of dumping of course.

Looks like the BitGirls ICO is live: https://zaif.jp/ico_tokenDoesn't appear that a lot of XEM is being invested so far. I would support this project but it doesn't look like Zaif has much support for English speakers...

Yeah they still have a ways to go. None of the account setup screens have been translated or there is a bug.

Nem is my favorite coin. It wasn't created with developers asking for multi million dollars ico, it was done by hundreds of people promoting, or giving like ten dollars for a stake, and a lot of volenteres. And from that it became a top ten coin. This coin deserves to be number two behind Bitcoin.
