Roadmap to V1
- Completion of all the features in the existing wallet
- Coloured Coins
- Business Rules (a.k.a. Smart Contracts)
- Decentralized Asset Exchange
- Integration of multisignature into the AE and Business Rules
- Snapshotting for quick syncing of nodes

I was thinking that we won't lunch smart contracts ?

is there anyone who step in makotos shoes? Is anyone doing his work, I guess having people actively supporting NEM in real world is msot important.
Makoto has never left, he is still very much active, maybe not so much as a dev, but he is still working on the development, but has concentrated more on the marketing side in Japan as far as im aware Smiley

I think rockethead right now is the most active real world surrogate. I've seen a bunch of pics from meetings and talks on slack.

as i understand their view on business rules is different from what people know as ETH style smart contract
but lets see when they present their solution

it will be sure something different to on chain smart contracts ETH style

i expect more some kind of easy useable multisig logics
basical what could be done aready now with own code on top of NEM
and then some standard toolsets that make that possible can be truggered direct via NEM API

lets see if my guess is close

based on what u make this statement?

i have a different feeling
he not write at NEM slack / telegram
he is involved on hyperledger development (blockchain projects that aims to be part in linux distributions)
he run a own company without direct relation to NEM or any projects know from his company that will utilize NEM chain

so nzminer whats ur source of information ur statement is based on?

dont get me wrong is see many skilled and high motivated people working for NEM
on coding and marketing and business relation stuff
but i dont think makoto is at the moment one of them
or he follow some longterm submarine tactics and return with big surprise

whats a bit missing is "the face"
someone who step in to be the primary "face" of the coin
but i guess that will be the leader of NEM foundation once its formed

Im just going by bits i remember reading over the last 12 months.

I think somewhere I read that he was concentrating on marketing - something he never expected himself to do. I also remember reading that his focus had changed, but was still working on the project.

IDK, its been a while, too many posts to scan through now, but he does post here occasionally from time to time.

The story of Makoto Takemiya is an interesting one and it has been speculated on for hours on Telegram.  My interpretation is he may have some sort of mental deficiency, poor work ethic or another reason to explain his fallout.  Before you strangle me - give me a few minutes to explain:

1. Makoto Takemiya was squeezed out of NEM development.   He was demoted to marketer and for reasons never made public.  Maybe his peak contribution was the POI formula and he was not a good developer at anything else?  Who knows?

2. At his peak, he was later hired as the Chief Blockchain Officer at Tech Bureau (Parent Company of Zaif Exchange).

3.  He had some very high-end development role at DragonFly too.

Question:  how does a 'good' developer, such as Makoto Takemiya, burn bridges and get kicked out from so many different places?  Got fired by Jaguar0625, got fired by Takao Asyama and got fired by Lon Wong.   Huh

Honestly, if you knew Makoto Takemiya, at the level like I did, then you know that guy was always on Social Media, hanging out in bars in Tokyo and didn't have the best work ethic.  His work ethic is like the textbook ivory tower intellectual: professor vest, smoking a pipe and sipping brandy in front of a lit fireplace - thinking about the inner-workings of the universe - but when it comes to work he does bugger.    Grin

Well its the only information i could find.

Anyway, he has been on interviews on youtube and has made public appearances in the past.

Whatever his direction is, it doesnt really matter, main thing is we have a great team working on the project Smiley

If anyone wants to have a go developing something with c#, I've written an api library that can use any nis safely. You don't even need to set up the connection if it doesn't matter what node you connect to, it auto connects to trusted Dev nodes, all you gota do is not pass a connection to Accountfactory and the connection will set itself up. Its also a single line job to bounce between test net and main net.

For now I would advise only using on testnet until I update the fee structure and do a few other things, I just don't have time atm. Should have it done soon tho.

I tried to make it as simple to use as possible so once the library is imported you can literally copy paste the code in the read me into your project and it will work.

Awesome!  Thank you!  Will try it out right away.

Nice library to use for C# programming. I am looking something similar for Python and PHP. Is it available for one or both of the languages.
I actually planned to create one on my own but I have not find the time yet.

Hello.
Maybe this simple scripts could be useful to you:

https://github.com/NemProject/php2nem
or
https://github.com/NemProject/nodejs2nem

you should be able to do any call described in this documentation:
NIS * http://bob.nem.ninja/docs/
NCC * https://github.com/NemProject/NemCommunityClient/blob/master/docs/api.md

bye.

No, there is no need for that Wink

Mosaics already can accomplish what ARDOR is supposed to do.

You know ARDOR was created for 50% development fund for devs they have burned old fund so they create NXT2 to get new,
works like central banks with QE Cheesy money printing

There's no need to bash Makoto after all he did for NEM.

I don't think Jaguar kicked him.

I think he is just too ambitious to not be the number one in Dragonfly or in Tech Bureau

That's not fair. Ardor looks like it's coming up with new features that are not possible in NXT.

Mosaics already can accomplish what ARDOR is supposed to do.

How does Mosaics work? My understanding is that Ardor will have side chains, which will reduce blockchain bloat, and can work like Etherum, without those security risks.
